Why God Made Little Girls
~ Henry Alfred Dixon ~

God made the world with its towering trees,
Majestic mountains and restless seas.
Then stopped and said, “It needs one more thing,
Someone to laugh and dance and sing.
To walk in the woods and gather flowers,
To commune with nature in quiet hours.”

So God created little girls.
With laughing eyes and bouncing curls.
With joyful hearts and infectious smiles,
Enchanting ways and feminine wiles.

And when He’d completed the task He’d begun,
He was pleased and proud of the job He’d done.
For the world when seen through a little girl’s eyes,
Greatly resembles His own paradise.

I have been out all day today and on my way home from the first trip, I chose to go via tbe back roads and snapped this picture of Che Guevara while driving and without even looking at the screen. I carry my camera in my shirt pocket so it just a few seconds to take the pic

See the sky and clouds ther the cut ougt in the ironwork. Apparently, the Mayor of Olerios, a small suburb of La Coruña, had this put up about a month ago.

Who says we old men can´t multi-task.

I am having an awful time with FR lately. I know that everyone is, especially dial-up connections. SLOW, SLOW, SLOW!! Pages won’t open, page requests time-out. I sure hope it isn’t going to be this way until the election. I am giving up on FR for today, I just don’t have the patience for it. :-(

I thought so until I remembered that the possum is a newcomer...I have had raccoons here for so long without a problem..The possum, a blue jay and a wild(tame) tom turkey
are my newcomers.

Meg, wild turkey? Do you feed him? I had a tom and hen ‘something’ that would come to my back door every morning. After I started feeding them chicken scratch, they would come at the sound of my whistle. They were some sort of wild turkey - but not like anything I had ever seen, or have ever seen since. Do you have a picture?
