Don't know what it is about chocolate, but I am sitting here now with a handful of Nestle's Milk Chocolate Chips, and they satisfy my chocolate craving!

I ease my craving by having a Hershey’s chocolate cherry cordial kiss. YUMMY!!

I cut this recipe off the box of Imperial Pure Cane Brown Sugar probably 35 years ago, and have made it many, many times. The edges are worn, and the recipe is speckled with chocolate. It is my favorite all-time chocolate recipe!

Sometimes a new recipe I try bombs or is just "MEH" and then there are times after trying a new one, I throw out all others of the same category! It's so rewarding to find a 'keeper' and then be able to get rid of those that never quite added up to expectations. :)

That sounds good, too - haven’t tried them before, but I almost ALWAYS have a package of chocolate chips in the pantry that I can fall back on during a chocolate craving! I keep chocolate chip cookies in the freezer all the time, so when they’re gone I’ve got the ingredients to make more.

When Death Comes

When death comes like the hungry bear in autumn; when death comes and takes all the bright coins from his purse to buy me, and snaps the purse shut; when death comes like the measle-pox when death comes like an iceberg between the shoulder blades, I want to step through the door full of curiosity, wondering: what is it going to be like, that cottage of darkness?
