Good...me too. I called that my ‘cute flag’.
I bet everyone on FR has that cute little sparkly guy! I do!
Isn’t it a cute one - wish I’d dreamed it up. :)
Billie, on September 19, I will celebrate my 8th Free Republic Anniversary and before that I ‘creeped’ around a year or so! I frequented mostly political stuff for a long time. Gosh, how time flies~~~~If it wasn’t posted on my home page, I would have forgotten exactly the date!
Thank you so much for hostessing today’s thread, Billie.
Been a busy day and I had PTA tonight.
I love your graphics and the Welcoming Graphic was wonderful.
Thank you again for all you do for Amy’s and for FR.
Hi Amy, guess you are mighty busy these days. Just saw your last post and I was getting ready to close down. See you soon.
Goodnight, FRiends....!
Hmmm .... I made strawberry ice cream Sunday but changed it to FResh Peach. :)
glad you both enjoyed it. I never hit the balll.. NOT ONCE..
I know most of you are more talented along those lines.. but aha.. give me something else & I will excel.. and give me a couple weeks so I can think of something!!!!
* SMILE *
3rd grade math and the Fresno Annual FReeper Picnic has me busy this week.
Hope things slow down a little next week.
Just look - this is the url! At least it posted, and I looked in my folder and it's there, too - named "center". :)

Oh my, I didn’t realize you’d been here since 2000 either - ‘how come’ we didn’t know you when we first started The Finest, and Amy’s Place about a couple of years later? :)
I appreciate your nice comments about the Welcoming Graphic as well as the V-J presentation. It's always nice to hear th' boss thinks I'm doing a good job. A pat on the head does the trick every time. LOL
Ohhhh, I like BOTH strawberry AND FResh Peach ice cream - or vanilla or banana. But homemade anykind will do nicely!
I've got most of the intro written but I need to shorten it a bit. You know how long-winded that dd can be.
And, yep, I know you can get carried away once you get started. Pare it down, dd! :)
I was "this" close to turning off this pc for real, and here you showed up. :)
Do need to go now. Nite!
JC, September 19, is also “Talk Pirate Talk” day - (If I remember Amy’s post a couple days ago.) TWO things to have fun with on September 19! Celebration of your Anniversary, and trying to talk ‘Pirate’. Arrrrrrrrg!
Hurricane Andrew struck the US mainland in August 1992. As residents tried to cope with the destruction, scientists turned Florida into a huge laboratory. Teams of researchers descended on the state to measure the storms impact on everything from building materials to tropical fish. Psychologists analyzed the hurricanes influence on children. Geographers mapped sunken boats. Marine scientists cataloged the damage done to reefs, sea grass, and mangroves. Criminologists studied price-gouging and the breakdown of social order.
The prophets of the Bible did a similar evaluation after spiritual disasters. They documented the personal, social, and environmental effects of turning away from the one true God (Isa. 1:1-9; Hag. 1:2-7).
In behalf of a loving God, Haggai urged his neighbors to give careful attention to what had happened. He noted the priority they were giving to their own comforts and wanted them to observe how dissatisfied and empty they still were.
If God didnt care, He wouldnt ask us to consider the time and effort we are spending on diminishing returns. If He didnt love us, He couldnt remind us of all that He has given us. God sees what has happened to us and knows how much we need to focus on Him today.
Are you kidding me? I can’t right click on that url...it won’t take me anywhere! If its blue, etc. you can right click, if its in black, you can’t pull it up! (You may not know my lingo....its hard for ‘ME’ to explain~~LOL~~)
Isn’t that strange? I think I told you I was all in election mode....I had been on quite a while before I joined up. Hubby was here then and he saw the joy I had talking politics, etc.
I would say “Honey, come here, I want you to see this.”
As I was ‘creeping’ around, I began to want to say something. So I joined up. It sure did take me a long time to find the Finest, didn’t it?
Then in 2004, when my husband passed away, I sent a note to Jim Robinson (sweetest thing) and told him I didn’t know how to post a ‘thread’ and God Bless Him, he did it for me!
I have a lot of love for Free Republic, ya’ll!!
Arrrrrrg.....I have my eyepatch on too, I’m ready!
