Darn!!
Just realized that I forgot a line break. Oh well .... to late to worry about it.
I need some practice, talkin' pirate AND reading it. ;-)
Thanks, Maj, for pinging me to his post. I would have missed it otherwise.
Saturday our objective was the Bourne Scallop Festival and the freshest, most succulent shellfish that just melts on the tongue. The day was very successful and absolutely yummy. There was musical entertainment in the big tent, a small arts & crafts show, kids rides and a midway. The music was the best IMHO.
It's charming events like that we look for when we can take a couple of days off.
Politics aside, the northeast is a magical place with mountains, lakes, charm, color and rich history. Plus in growing season (of course), it's greener than most places.
Did you come up for autumn when you visited?
Your holiday sounded so wonderful. I love seafood, especially scallops...fixed any way! Isn’t it good to just get away for a couple of days.....very refreshing!
We were there in October. It was so lovely. We spent most of our time in the Boston area but did drive through New Hampshire and then spent a couple of days in Vermont. I loved Vermont. Then back through NH and into Kennebunkport. We spent two days there before heading to Salem and then back to Boston. I think we only spent one night in the Salem area.
The history of Boston was a tremendous experience and seeing the natural beauty of NH and VT was awesome.
We enjoyed Kennebunkport and a little of the Maine coast. It was fun seeing Bush 41’s (Vice President at the time) home.
Touring Salem was fun and entertaining. It seems that vacations are never long enough. There are always things that you miss. I would have liked to see Cape Cod. Maybe some day. :)
I’m glad you had a nice holiday and the Bourne Scallop Festival sounds wonderful. I can almost taste those scallops.
No prob,my pleasure.
Relly was a typo for really but in that context the typo fits,lol!...I had trouble reading that advanced pirate speak too...mine though, easy peasy more like, pirate speech 101
:)
Have a super time attending that wedding!/Seeing fam members again!!
Thanks, Majie.
Just came in to shut down pc for the evening.
See you tomorrow.
I need to clean up the computer but I never get around to it, it seems.<<<
So do I.
Now that you have us bookmarked, come and visit any time.
It is a nice day here, wish all the world could share it.
Lyrics and music by Thomas Moore
'Tis the last rose of summer,
Left blooming alone.
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone.
No flowr of her kindred,
No rosebud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes
Or give sigh for sigh.
I'll not leave thee thou lone one
To pine on the stem,
Since the lovely are sleeping
Go sleep thou with them;
Thus kindly I scatter
Thy leaves oer the bed,
Where thy mates of the garden
Lie scentless and dead.
So soon may I follow
When friendships decay,
And from loves shining circle
The gems drop away!
When true hearts lie withered
And fond ones are flown
Oh! who would inhabit
This bleak world alone?
(((Dita!))) :)
Such beautiful music and photos! Makes me a bit sad summer is over but then again, that’s what makes spring so special. :) Fall is nice too. I’m trying to Id roses while I watch. There are many, I cannot. ;)
Thanks so much!
How nice to see you, (((GeeBee!!)))
It is a wistful sort of song, an old parlor song really.
But we DO love autumn, righto. Some of the roses remind me of ones you have:-)
Wish I could stay and visit but must run. Enjoy the video and I’ll see you this coming week..:) I know I keep saying that, but this time it’s true!!
Laughter here, “Why am I not surprised that Meg will keep the babies?”
Of course you will, they were sent to you and you will laugh and maybe a cuss or two, but they will love you.
You might even consider each of them as another feather in your wings, we have to earn them, one feather at a time.
It is cooler today here too; wish I didn’t have to go, but the clock says so....*Sigh*. Have a nice, cozy evening!!
