Thanks to Nora Roberts for the info about Ireland—it was in one of her books! We have grown fuschias here, in hanging baskets, but they hate it.

A will to give and share,
A whispered prayer upon my lips
To show I really care."

Excellent, Mayor. Thank you for bringing us this lesson every day.

Puppies and flowers! Two of my favorite things!

Did you guys go up the Blue Ridge Parkway? That is truly some beautiful country. I live right on the coast and it takes us 8-10 hours to get to the mountains, depending on where you’re going.

Thank you, KittyMittens.
My son (and Marissa) loved Play Doh. Always a great choice.
Inexpensive and kids love it.

I liked that print of George Washington Laying the Cornerstone.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, too.

Have a special Thursday.

I don’t remember which route we took. It was 18 - 20 years ago; I don’t remember whether we went to the Blue Ridge Parkway ... probably not. :)

A friend and her husband met me in Atlanta and we spent a few days in Savanahh.

On our way to Kentucky, we spent 2 nights in Charleston, SC and then 2 nights in Asheville, NC. We drove thru Tennessee and then into Kentucky. I saw lots of beautiful country.

I need to look at my pictures to see if I can determine which route we took. You may know better that I do. LOL

We went to Murphy last summer for family vacation—the WHOLE family! Grands, sibs, kids, everybody. We found a huge house and all 20 of us stayed in the same house for a week. Nobody got killed—I figured that was a major accomplishment! LOL Right on a lake—very low due to drought—but we had a great time. Fished, swam, hiked, lazed, made lots of side trips to Cherokee, nearby parks, caves, waterfalls. Beautiful country.

Sounds like you had a great trip! The roads haven’t improved much. Snicker.
