Thank you dear Kitty. We did love having Lori and JK and consider them “family” now. They will have to come back. In fact, I’m trying to talk them into retiring here. It’s a wonderful place to live. Small community, loving people, lots of things to do, beautiful nature, lower cost of living, and no hurricanes, great weather. Come on up and see us.

adore rocks, and Im not talking about diamonds! Course, living on the sandy coast of NC, where the only rocks are beds of oysters.... LOLHmmmm - ever gotten a pearl from them? :)
About the Mayflower... Have any of yall ever seen Columbus ships? Theres a replica of The Nina that comes into Beaufortthats Bo-fort, not BU-fort!that thing is unbelievable tiny! There is no way I would go out of Beaufort harbor on that thing, much less across teh Atlantic! And the thought of staying below decks the whole way... Sheesh! Our ancestors were TOUGH!
I have always said I never would have made it 'way back when'. I would HATE to have lived anytime before the 20th century.

Thank you so much for those links. I will enjoy taking a stroll through this lovely place. You're most welcome - I can usually find any Finest thread if it's before our final Hall of Fame thread in March 2007. If it's after that, it's a bit harder - not impossible, just takes longer. :)

Boy oh boy, if trees awe you, you have got to see WV. We have more trees than any state in the Eastern U.S. And, no, WV is not like Va. WV is mountains, mountains and more mountains, all covered with trees. Populaton of the entire state: 1,816,856. Largest city: 51,000. How many people live in Houston?
Speaking of trees: check this out.

Thanks Billie. I won’t tell you how long that took me as I am slow with so many! BUT, I had a couple of phone calls during that time also. I had fun! And I will be checking in and out today. It will be a fun day!
To: Billie
Ohhhhh, I love Raisin Bread. I’m saving that recipe. (I do get the urge to make bread once in a blue moon). Thank you.
