How do I change my tagline?

I suffered. My eyes still hurt.

I can only imagine. I very rarely turn on the telly at home, and avoid the CNN monitors at airports, out of hearing when possible and always outside of viewing range. (It helps that I prefer to keep walking in the airports, or sit in restaurants, given the long hauls ahead crammed into a seat in steerage class.)

Even garden variety broadcast TeeHeeVee is cruel and unusual punishment in my book.

That is about the level of respect they deserve.

I'll be blunt. After reading some of their work product, not only do they not deserve even that level of respect but they ought to be summarily fired. On the spot.

I suspect Sarah and her family have already had a family council on the subjet of Mom as Veep, and I also suspect she had the nods of everyone who understood.
As for Alaska, they are proud of her and will be in her corner, no matter what the opposition throws at her and her family.
She would not have accepted the invitation, had she any doubts as to the steadfastness of her family.
If she can camp out in the wilds, knows how to shoot to kill, and still cuddle a baby, she’s OK in MY book!

"Suspect"? You *know* the discussion had already taken place, and with the McCain folks as well. Everybody knew what was coming, and they were clearly ready when the "leak" began. Smart folks, and honorable.

I've been to Alaska a few times though each time I've been somewhat insulated from the local culture. But the more I see of it the more I like the people -- so different from rich-city (liberal) phonies.

Is the McCain/Palin ticket the first "No Lawyer" ticket we have had since (arguably) the Roosevelt/Fairbanks ticket of 1904?

I say arguably because TR did go to law school, he just didn't finish.

If we want to count TR then we have not had a no-lawyer ticket since Grant/Wilson in 1872.

Ugh. Which is more important, the law-school *training* (presumably inculcating certain mindsets), or actually being a practicing lawyer?

Good question. I don't know the answer, but I'm changing my tagline. (That probably ought to be a requirement this month --- {Kidding!})

Yeah, my problem with lawyers is how they think all twisty like. This seems to be something taught in law school so TR has a question mark in my book.

Of course he was also smart enough to quit law school but still the taint lingers.
