Yeah, I guess you are right. Plus, the Leinie’s Honey Weiss tastes really good in this heat.
Maybe I should get going on that homework due for tomorrow.
To: sionnsar; Tax-chick
No coffee, yet. I was thinking of going back to bed. *yawn*

I don’t know whether to get some work done or go back to bed. Ugh, it stinks being in such a hot place. Then again, you’d think it was a cold spell around here!
To: Monkey Face
Coffee and breakfast now, but still feel like going back to bed.
Am checking out Ceol to see if it will run Xubuntu so that sionnsareen the youngest can have a Linux box to play with. Am anticipating difficulties with the wireless card though I've found directions for installing a driver for it.

Sounds like going back to bed is almost the Order Of the Day.
It has my vote, at least!

That’s three yes votes.
Going back to bed is on to the next round!
Whoops....wrong show.
I have to take care of things now. Will be back later!
To: Monkey Face
Mine too, but I have some work to do. Am installing Xubuntu right now, then I try to figure out the wireless driver.

Make sure you have the right file to download. You should be able to match up the model number on the wireless gizmo to the download file. Having the wrong file confuses all the equipment.
I won’t go into how I know this to be true.

LOL! According to one page, Ubuntu unstalls the driver automatically now. But I didn’t see it while the drivers were being installed. I’ll know in a bit...

Wow! All I had to do was to give it the SSID, the passkey and tell it to use DHCP and it worked!
Not at all like the struggle I had yesterday trying to get it to go (again) under Windows. For some reason it would no longer use DHCP and I had to set everything manually.

Naah, just talking techie. Setting up the Linux box for the youngest sionnsareen and I am amazed at how easily it’s been going. Things that were often headaches 10 years ago, even when you had the necessary info, now just work. And the exact same hardware was a headache under Windows.

Oh, well that’s really nice! OldTax-lady gave Anoreth a new Dell laptop to celebrate starting college, and she and her Dad wonked whatever it needed.

"I has been a least two years since I moved a jumper." Moving a jumper is easy. Usually just one tazer hit will do it.
Why tie up your afternoon?

A taser hit will do, if you can’t get anyone there in time to push.
