If we want to suspend any captains, Pat can loan them his gravity compensator. Darksheare knows how to jigger it to keep things elevated rather than on the ground.

*ahem*

en-SIGN -— pennant

ENsign -— naval junior officer

(You are so silly, and so much fun!)

"Turquoise field, castle silhouette in silver, three stars for the habitats...."

I don't know about turquoise. I pictured a blue field, with a white orb in the upper left corner, a reddish one in the lower right, and three stylized habitats diagonally across the center. The one in the middle would have a tiny castle. Maybe it would have a silver ring around it, to represent the Thrust Ring.

The orbs would represent our quasi-settlement on the moon and the few settlers we left on Mars.

Excuse me for asking, but what's that have to do with the advice on changing one's tagline?

It stunes your beeber and changes your tagline...

We've moved on from that. Please try to keep up.

Just kidding! This is now the September home of the Undead Thread. You can have it back in a couple more days.

Or stick around and welcome aboard!

The Castle is where we are, so I was thinking that should be primary.

Turquoise is blue...there are many shades of blue, but in designing an enSIGN, (RAC...) we need to make sure our purpose is suggested.

Blue, in this case (almost any shade) is a neutral color.
Of course, if need be, there can be one flag with the castle on it, then below that, a pennant for each of the habitats.

That would prevent the main standard from being too busy, while still allowing the habitats to state their “claim to fame” as it were.

We might also want to consider a pennant for the bridge, as well.

Great, now I have that line from “Silence of the Lambs” stuck in my head for some reason.

Oh. Er, uhm, OK. (Robt appears confused, betwixted, bothered and bewildered....)

Ah thought the hole emblom thong was about the design onsign da pennant in blew slik, not the blew insign where the captain ain't flyin’ fer safety reasons without anitgravity.

But, but, but....

What happens when the Navy blew porpoise is actually promoted instead of just being suggested?

How is everyone this morning?

So busy I only just got here. But I'm almost back on a normal schedule. For all that will last only until next Sunday when I fly out again.

Hey...In that case, why don’t we poll the Undeaders and see if they would like an ensign.

Not if it's named Wesley Crusher.
