Me, too. He’s acted in “24,” most recently. And he’s in his early 50’s, which is such an appealing age for the right sort of men.

Hi from Dallas. Boy is this town empty on a Saturday night when there isn’t a conference going on!

Hello!
I just gave the link for that article/link you posted earlier to my sister. She lives in the same town as the Palins. :o])
How long do you have in Dallas?

About 93 - 1/2 hours, but who's counting? *\;-)
Starting about 24 hours from now I'm not going to be on FR very much until Thursday. And when I am it'll be a little slow -- this hotel want$ $15 for a mere 24 hour$ of Internet acce$$ and I'm just Scotch enough I'm not going to go for it. On through the cellphone right now.
Reconsidering church plans too. Easy to get there, but the last 1.1 mile hike is likely to leave me dripping...

All I can say, is: if you plan on breakfast outside of the hotel, (or lunch) GO EARLY! All the Baptists will be heading for lunch right after services, and you may be lucky to get a seat!
I learned that in AR! My son took me to Eureka Springs for the VW Rally and we came home on Sunday. We got hungry and stopped at a big buffet-style restaurant about five minutes before church let out. Oi-vey!

Are you actually in Dallas, or somewhere in the ‘burbs which seem to exist only to hold corporate conferences?

One of nature’s wonders. I’ve had a raging case of the hots for him since 1995.

Breakfast will likely be a scone and OJ from the Starbucks outside the hotel. If I go to services lunch won’t be until after 1. There is a *big* Baptist church just a block from here...

I’m not too bad, actually. I had something to do that I should have done this morning, but I didn’t, and now it’s too hot to be in the sun, working up a sweat.
For some reason, I’m looking forward to bed....

Now that’s a fascinating bit of local color ... quite a hot climate you live in :-).
Der Prinz is in Florida working on my mom’s computers. I’m feeling neglected.

Yah, me too actually. But I have Things To Do before I get there. Just looked up the walking route on Google Earth and it doesn't look too bad. Shade the whole way past some reasonably nice neighborhoods.
But I have to go for a while now, then hopefully meet up with a Swiss colleague for dinner. Poor guy -- he's away from home as long as I am, except he had the long flights to get here.
Later...
