Can someone help?
Dinner done, in room for the night. Tomorrow it's off to Dallas...
Breakfast will likely not be served on Tuesday and Thursday mornings because I have an early morning class at the university starting at 8am. Since I get off of work at 6:30 and it’s nearly an hour drive to school, that doesn’t leave me a ton of time to drive back to my place and fix food for y’all.
Me and my boy are hanging out watching Spongebob. Well, HE’S watching it while I put away groceries and hang out here.
Hey! My grandson likes Spongebob! Tell the Little Guy he’s in good company! (Like he’ll understand that, right?)
Dallas? *erk*
So kids watch SpongeBob. We used to watch Soupy Sales.
Zinc trisodium, aspartate,
Sorbitol and bisulfate,
Oxide beta carotene,
Lactic acid, carob bean.
Grade A milk emulsified
Malto-dextrin alkalide
Silicon deoxylite
Lots of sugar, (Hey All right!)
Calcified synthetic salt
Artificial barley malt
Glycerine and aspartate
Folic acid, (That tastes great!)
Monosodium glutamate
Dehydrated calceinate
Soybean oil, butter fat
Caramel center, (I’ll eat that!)
Um...
We didn’t have TV. It wasn’t that there was none...we wuz jus po’ fo’k.
So we listened to Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, The Shadow, Fibber Magee, Amos ‘n’ Andy....
I'm tired, and off for the night. Maybe back in the morning, but probably not until tomorrow evening. Another colleague (from Switzerland) who's been in all the meetings I've been in is also traveling there, so we'll hook up for dinner.
And Sunday, IF all goes well, I'll get to visit a famous Anglican (formerly Episcopal) church known as "Smoky Matt's" (St. Matthias) Sunday morning. Have to work out the travel route on DART and see if it gets me within walking distance. "Low-church" service combined with "bells and smells" -- should be interesting.
LOL!
Um...did you just describe ice cream?
Try this one:
Per 12 fluid ounces, calories 132, carbohydrates 10.5 grams, protein 1.3 grams, fat 0.0 grams, no sugar, no salt, no preservatives.
Ouch.
April or May?
What? You’re counting CALORIES for me????
(What a waste!)
I won’t eat anything that is “low fat” or “no fat.”
I don’t care how much sugar, protein or carbs it has in proportion to what else I eat. If it smells good, tastes good, and has VERY FEW preservative, I’ll eat it.
Oddly enough the very best ice cream for the money is the store brand half gallon bricks. Just check to see if it has natural flavors (buy) or artificial (usually pass).
Don't buy the buckets unless you are feeding kids at a party and, as a general rule, the rounder the container the less ice cream you are getting for the money.
Check to make sure you are actually getting "ice cream" not "frozen dairy desert" ice cream has at least 10% butter fat. The more premium the brand the higher the butterfat.
Lots of formerly premium brands have cut the amount of butter fat so drastically that they are now frozen dairy deserts. If you think your old brand of ice cream doesn't taste quite a smooth or rich as you remember your mind is not playing tricks on you. It probably isn't.
Thus ends the ice cream lecture for today.
That ain't ice cream.
That would be April 7 as my birthday.
Good night everyone. After getting two hours of sleep, my body is telling me to go to bed.
Trust me: I don’t buy things that are artificial-frozen-fat-free-milk products.
I also don’t buy most pre-packaged foods, whether frozen or in boxes because if the preservatives are going to preserve the FOOD, what are they going to do to my body?
I buy whole potatoes (red) and mash them myself, fresh or frozen vegetables (again, looking for “preservatives,”) and if I buy any fresh foods, I try to buy them at the deli counter.
Of course, beer and wine are natural foods, so I don’t have to worry when I buy them!
‘Night!
I guessed sorta right.
My brain isn’t quite so damaged from repeat blunt trauma over the years as I thought.
*little voice from the back of my head says: Okay pal, explain the typos.*
A question from someone who knows me was posted in the UnBirthday 33 1/3 LP thread.
I happen to know the answers.

Hint.. yes, fate does have a sense of humor concerning me.
I am heading off to bed, so i will not be able to read the waves of humor generated by it.
No. That information came from the label on my beer bottle.
