WASHINGTON House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she is not impressed by Republican efforts at reducing energy prices, or their attempts to publicize them.
Several GOP House lawmakers this week have taken the chamber by storm as Congress is officially on a five-week break and Democrats are out of town. The show continued Wednesday, its fourth day, with an appearance by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
The GOP members say it is to bring attention to Democrats' blocking a vote on offshore oil drilling legislation, an issue Republicans say would be a winner if it actually made it to a vote.
But Pelosi said Democratic initiatives, which don't include offshore drilling, are the answer to the country's high energy prices.
"The facts are clear," Pelosi wrote Tuesday in a letter to House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. The Democratic-led Congress "has repeatedly brought forth proposals to increase domestic supply, reduce the price at the pump, protect American consumers and businesses and promote renewable energy and conservation.
"To date, Democrats have brought forward 13 major initiatives to accomplish the above goals and each time a majority of House Republicans have voted against these proposals."

So much stupidity, so little time...
Wind and solar have been around since the '80's, where's the breakthrough?
I do hope the people of California wake up and vote this dumb person out of office. And, Nevada should vote dumber out.
This liberal asshat is a complete obstructionist to the American way of life!....

Nancy, Nancy. You're your own worst enemy. The "Devil's in the details" so to speak. If the "Democratic-led Congress" has repeatedly brought forth proposals that will reduce the price at the pump, then why isn't the price at the pump being reduced by now?
You yourself admit the Democrats control Congress. Why do you need the Republicans to get this done? If your plans are so good, and Your Democrat led Congress is coalesced as one, you have the plurality and these bills should be passed by now. What's the problem, Nancy? Surely, it can't be those nasty Republicans.
Pelosi has one of the safest seats in Congress. The Frisco gays and moonbats just love her. The only thing that could cause her to lose an election is an earthquake that kills all the liberals and leaves the five or six conservatives in the city as the sole survivors.
Or if Cindy She-Hag beats her ...
Or she gets caught outside in the rain...

Polls show people are blaming Pelosi for blocking drilling.
She won’t budge until there are political consequences.
Here’s a thought. With all the seats that the Dems are up for in November - they’ll be looking for donations, right? We ought to send them a contribution - our gas receipts! Let their donation centers “think” that the money is rollin’ in (until they open the envelope!)
I'm having a hell of a time getting sunshine and wind into my gas tank.
At first I feared we would lose more seats, now I am beginning to think we actually may gain seats.
It would be so sweet if we gained enough to remove the crown from your head.
Maybe Nancy could help us.......(you know when you stick your tongue in your cheek that hard, you could bite it off)
And I'm not going to hold my breath either!
We should tell the “botox babe” that we can’t buy her book either because we have to buy gas. ;)
Maybe Nancy can help.
She's an expert at blowing smoke up our a$$es.
Want a good laugh? Go read the reviews for that waste of paper over at Amazon. The only reason it has a one star rating is because you can't give it Zero stars.
LOLOL! Didn't it debut at lower than 1700 on the Best Seller list?
