Being registered in a school as a muslim at age 7 by a muslim stepfather is not the same as being “raised a muslim”. We don’t know how he was raised. We know he was around a muslim stepfather and knows about muslims, saw them.
But you do not know he was raised as a muslim.

Sorry, that is just not true and you are controting like a pretzel to defend this lie. People at the school who were spoken to/interviewed said he tuaght as a muslim. Obama is quoted I beleive himself as saying he could recite the Koran very well. His Kenyan reletives all claim he was raised a Muslim.
cheap shot. I have been on this forum as a conservative for a number of years.
The tactics espoused by some on this thread are losing tactics if you ask me.
Obama can be defeated on what he is now. We do not need to get in the muck of this kind of ditch to expose what he is.
This kind of tactic will backfire in my opinion. ANd half truths are not truths no matter how convenient.

Assuming the truth is that he is "illegitimate", what is there to be forgiven, and by whom?
No decent person would pass judgement on a child for not being the product of marriage as the child could in no way have had a say in it. Anyone who attenpts to do so will look mean and low.
Obama has massive baggage. His "illegitimacy" and his unwillingness to discuss his dead mother is not part of it, and will backfire in the long run.

My concern is that too much negative stuff about Obama is coming out too soon.

I agree. I think that both the Mccain and Hillary Camps know the truth about Obama’s birth, and neither want to be the one to spill it.
On the other hand, the Swift Boat issue put Kerry on the defensive the entire Summer and was his ultimate undoing.
In that sense, whatever happens let it happen.
Once someone like Hannity gets hold of this, it catches wind.
Fact is, for the next week or so, Obama will play the race and victim card, and come forth as the good guy, stating that he wanted to keep the story of his illegitimate past from his children.
In his bio, he seems to say that it was a painful issue with him, and that for that reason he DID NOT look up whether or not his parents were married.
On the other hand, it still raises questions.
I want to know the essentials and nothing else. I think that’s fair.

Look at recent Democratic choices for President--LBJ, Carter, Gore, and Kerry were all bastards in the metaphorical sense of the word. Obama had no control over his mother's marital status when he was born. It's a trivial issue compared to the kind of President he would be if he is elected.
