This will be official at 11am EDT. Was recently named TD2. Furthest east a storm has formed so early, replaces... Bertha of 1996.
It was the sex change storm. It used to be Alma, but then it crossed oceans, regained circulation and became Arthur.
She looks ..........chilly !
Here too. Unless she should loop I don’t think the Gulf has anything to worry about but things are heating up.
I’m just fine with her curving herself out to sea but they are beautiful in an awesome way, aren’t they?
Agree ......lived thru a few of em yet my onus is the Tornado these days here in the Panhandle !
Beautiful force of nature that is deadly , too deadly too innocent folks and their property in most cases !
I do the storm chaser stuff now and then when time allows ......yet if I never saw another one it would be Ok !
Stay safe !
You too.

I like that Northwest movement, would like to see it go more northerly.
My little patch seems to be safe from this one.
Oh lawd!!!!
Thank you.
LOL!!!
You’re right. We need mountains here in FL!

"...BERTHA WEAKENS BUT STILL A CATEGORY TWO HURRICANE..."
It looks like it will be CAT 1 when it crosses over Bermuda.
Is it even going to hit Bermuda? The NHC track shows it going east of the island. If so, Cantore will be saddened.
Looks like it is losing organization and sucking in dry air.
as bertha continues to spin away in the atlantic, there is a new wave exiting africa that models are trying to develop into something — may be a more ‘interesting’ track if one pops.
