Jk and I have decided to go ahead and go on our scheduled vacation to Massachusetts and West Virginia the 21st through August 31st. We found a wonderful lady who will come in and take care of our dogs for us. So, now I am frantically trying to get packed and organized for this trip.
I'll be back here at Amy's Place as soon as I can. I am taking my laptop on the trip, so I am hoping to be able to stop in and say hello occasionally and maybe even post a couple of photos.
Have a great day everyone! I really have missed you all.
Lori, I am so happy that you will go on your planned vacation. I think it is the best thing you and your hubby could do at this time. I know if your Mom was anything like mine, she would have wanted you to take your vacation.
A few days after my husband’s funeral, my sons wanted to take us all out to Appleby’s to cheer me up. Well, I had a Margarita, which relaxed me and I found myself laughing and I felt so bad and put my face in my hand. My son said “Mom, what’s wrong?” I told him I didn’t think I should be laughing and he and the other son told me why I should laugh if I could....that nothing would make Dad any happier! Guess it was a good thing. Grief comes and goes but I always say “God makes us to heal, He wants his children to be happy that their loved one is in Heaven.”
Try to have some fun and it’ll be so good for you! I know how you had looked forward to it.
See ya soon...Enjoy! Your little doll-babies will do just fine! Your friend, jaycee/jane
Just have a wonderful trip! We’ll see you when you can
get on-line.
Camp Meeting is going well. Attendance is down and contributions are down, but the Spirit is there with strength. People are not wanting to leave after it ends. We're not getting home till almost 11. Weather has been beautiful and cool, the music has been fantastic, and the preacher is (get this) Chester's son, Chet. He lives in Indiana and is nothing like Chester.
