If you like Celtic music and have never seen Celtic Woman you are missing a real treat. This is a link to a friend of mine who was with Celtic woman, (shes on her own now) her name is Meav and shes singing in Gaelic. Sláinte chugat!
Ping for later
But what about Celtic basketball!?
Should read Keltic
hehe...she’s not guilty.
Shes 5’10” (without heels) and definitely not guilty. lol
Very nice. I really like Irish music. My current play list includes Clannad, Enya, Loreena Mckennit and Mary Black (not to mention the Braveheart Soundtrack and Celtic Christmas Album). I will have to get some of this to add to the collection.
You actually know Maev? Lucky guy...
Thanks for posting this.
Celtic Woman is our favorite musical group.
We own every Celtic Woman CD and DVD which have been released.
In May we and another conservative couple went into Gay Frisco for an incredible live concert. They are the only group to get us and the other couple in to Gay Frisco.
They are beautiful and very talented women. The show starts out with high energy and continues to the end. They had 5 encore standing ovations the night we went in.
Sure wish I could get the link to work. I love their music.
I saw Celtic Woman last year in Raleigh. The women were great, but the two percussionists stole the show IMHO.
Meav is good but I like Lisa Kelly better.
Wow!
Shucra d’masha d’hala - It’s the only Gaelic I know - I means something like pass the sugar please - which seems stragely appropriate after seeing the video. I think I would crawl over broken glass to kiss that woman’s feet.
Mel
...and those freckles!
dot-to-dot drawings forever!
Thank you
I love Lisa - my favorite song is Caledonia.
A song celebrating Irish seaweed:
Dúlamán
Curfá
Dúlamán na Binne Buí, Dúlamán Gaelach
Dúlamán na farraige, “s é b”fhearr a bhí in Éirinn
A’níon mhín ó, sin anall na fir shúirí,
A mháithair mhín ó! cuir na roithléan go dtí mé.
Tá cosa dubha dúbailte ar an dúlamán gaelach
Tá dhá chluais mhaol ar an dúlamán gaelach
Rachaimid go Doire leis an dúlamán gaelach,
Is ceannóimid bróga daora ar an dúlamán gaelach
Bróga breaca dubha ar an dúlamán gaelach
Tá bearéad agus triús ar an dúlamán gaelach
Ó chuir mé scéala chuici, go gceannóinn cíor dí,
‘Sé an scéal a chuir sí chugam, go raibh a ceann cíortha.
Ó cha bhfaigheann tú mo ‘níon, arsa an dúlamán gaelach,
Bheul, fuadóidh mé liom í, arsa an dúlamán
Refrain
Beautiful yellow Dúlamán, Irish Dúlamán
Dúlamán from the sea, the best there is in Ireland.
