Howdy everyone! Everything went great at the VA today! Stump is healing nicely and looks great! Had the staples removed. Had the picc line for IVs removed. They didn’t even make another follow-up appointment. Said all looks fine and I should only call if something goes wrong. Guess I’m through with the surgical dept for awhile. Physical therapy continues next week and my regular heathcare appointments at the VA clinic will continue on. Should have an appointment for a follow-up meeting with the prosthetics dept in about 30 days. Will be attending the Fresno Support our Troops Rally tonight!

Thank you all very much for your thoughts and prayers!

God bless,

Jim

Thanks Amy I am glad you liked it. I have never seen any of those pics before.

Here is one I found, not in the presentation, which I really liked.

Good evening, Conor. Great to see you. Thank you for bringing the lovely First Lady.

We are going to a Support the Troops Rally later. I don’t have a nice red shirt so I’m wearing a blue one with patriotic decorations. IE: ... eagles, red and blue stars. Tho I won’t be wearing much red, I think any passers by will get the message.

Hope you are having a great red Friday.

Enjoy the weekend.

Your goldfinch is beautiful. I did find some on other sites. I am enjoying them so much at my feeder. The chicadees love the thistle seed as much as the goldfinches do.

Thank you..I may have to buy a thistle feeder. If the
goldfinches won't come..at least the chickadees will enjoy it.

Thats a cute little graphic. Yes, my birds will eat before me! LOL~~
Boy it is sure getting hotter each day. If you don't get it done outside in the morning, you're out of luck! A nice quiet rain would feel good right now.
I had to run an get an oil change today....gee there's much to take care of!

~~HUGS~~

You may save anything Amy - I too love that pic — the warmth from the windows mirror the warmth found here on your place.

That flowery meadow scene makes a poignant, wordless statement. Very beautifully done, MEG.

"As one officer said, the only way to take a beach is to face it and keep going. It is costly at first, but it’s the only way. If the men are pinned down on the beach, dug in and out of action, they might as well not be there at all. They hold up the waves behind them, and nothing is being gained.

Our men were pinned down for a while, but finally they stood up and went through, and so we took that beach and accomplished our landing. We did it with every advantage on the enemy’s side and every disadvantage on ours. In the light of a couple of days of retrospection, we sit and talk and call it a miracle that our men ever got on at all or were able to stay on."

Thanks for that, Dita.

I found one of Pyle’s books among my Dad’s belongings. He
was a wonderful eye-witness to history and died too soon.
It was wonderful that he named every soldier, sailor, marine,
and airman that he ever interviewed. For their families back home!
