Yesterday, BHO called John McCain's foreign policy "naive and irresponsible".
It is alleged that after asking him to stand back, Iraqi police beat a photographer for filming the scene of a suicide bombing.

Have just put the coffee maker on myself. I have one that makes a flask full.
I prefer the jug type really because the flask does not keep it as warm as having a hot plate even though it is supposed to.

I have a question. Isn't bringing up your race constantly being a racist? i.e.
Mrs. Obama: "Earlier in my college career, there was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the Black community I was somehow obligated to this community and would use all of my present and future resources to benefit this community first and foremost. My experiences at Princeton have made me more aware of my Blackness than ever before."
I wonder what would happen if John McCain said: "my years as a US Senator, or a prisoner of war, etc has made me more aware of my "whiteness".
Dear Heavens! the media would pass a cow their their collective left nostrils!

Or if Cindy McCain mentioned her "whiteness" in any statement. As I have said in earlier posts. I am sick and tired of being called a racist because of MY skin color.
What would happen if we had a Miss WHITE America, the American WHITE College, the WHITE world poker tour, etc?

Bev great comments I too am fed up of knowing that race relations laws only work one way and I believe in all the years in Britain we have had this law only one white person has been able to successfully use the law to their advantage and secure a prosecution and that I believe was only within the last year. That to me shows that at long last if only a few a few people are really prepared to stand up and say the unmentionable it is really us white Brits who are suffering more at the hands of racists than any Asian or west Indian or other race or nationality in between.

We are back from my mil's where Greg mowed the lawn and I sorted through things. After doing a quick inventory, I see that there are things that can be sold at a garage sale, however, it appears we may need to rent a dumpster as well. :(
It is overwelming and I must remember to focus on one room at a time , not the whole house.

I checked dumpster rental prices. Yikes. I guess I will have to trash bag it. Actually, it’s probably not as bad as I think. As I said, one room at a time.

How much time do you have to do it?
Have you considered wrapping things up to look like gifts, putting them in the back of Gregg’s pickup and parking it in a far corner of the Mall parking lot overnight?
Everything would be gone by morning.

She did have a good time, a very good time. Her hair was lovely, no thanks to me. I tried to style it in several ways. I worked with her for about two and a half hours before she got exasperated with me. She wasn’t angry, just tired of sitting and getting pulled and having it not work. So we did a low ponytail, pulled it through in itself like the TV “topsy tail” and that was that.
The after party was just the class getting together and watching a movie. She was home about 0030 to 0100. I was up but didn’t look at the clock.

We must put the house on the market soon. I would say we have about 1 month. I should be able to do it if I stick to a schedule, but then that means everything home, here, will fall behind. Sarah will help, of course.

Let me ask you: Do you think Peggy Noonan 'gets it'??? I think not.
She says that the GOP has 'squandered 40 years of legacy' (I thnk referring to the South). But in reality the GOP has squandered only the last 14 years, to wit:
Bill Frist -- living proof that doctors should stay in practice and not use their forceful personalities for anything other than patient advocacy...
Denny Hastert -- He who was elevated to the Speakership as one who would 'go along to get along' reinstituted the Earmark as no other Speaker has. A combination of Chicago machine politics and 'don't rock the boat'...
Ted Stevens -- 3 words: Bridge to Nowhere. Ask any Dem about the failure of the GOP Congress, he/she will always bring this up...
Peggy Noonan mentions none of this, only a full quarter-ton dump on W and the current admin. Yes, they have been terrible at explaining the war. Yes, they have had missteps all along the way. But the GOP Congress has been a digrace, and PN misses the point as it flies over her head...;-))

Can you give a link to that Peggy Noonan article?

Your assessment of PN, imo, is correct. I used to enjoy her articles and opinions. Now, it seems like all she does is whine and complain.
