The Hobbit Hole XXXVI - O! Water cold we may pour at need...

Posted on 05/03/2008 8:48:06 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I know, I know...I do need to decide. I guess partly I’m concerned with how it might affect any future moves. But I’m already right on the line where it’d be easier to buy a place than to rent somewhere with the benefits I’d want.

But then if I do take some, I have to decide which one(s), too...

Ack! Too much pressure!

Cool pictures!

Poor Tweek...

I still think the tiger kitten is the handsomest of the bunch. He oughta be in pictures.

Tweek's not available. :~)

Butters is special and sweet. I think he'd make the best indoor kitty because he doesn't seem to be that adventurous, he's a lap cat.

The other smallest black one last night we decided looked like and Ewok. So there's two Star Wars kittens, Yoda and Ewok.

The big black one is a nice bold, adventurous, strong cat. I just picture him/her being the best mouser in the bunch.

So there's your choices!

Hey there!

Went to see Ironman yesterday. Matinee at the new theater in the upper harbor. Nice place.

Awesome movie. May have to see it again before it leaves the theaters.

Sister had already seen the new Indiana Jones movie. She said she went in with really, really low expectations - and maybe she enjoyed it more than it deserved as a result, but she thought it was good. They didn’t try to make him into the same sort of action hero as in the originals, which would have been just silly.

Probably whichever misfit is the last one chosen by everyone else. :~)

So you want to go see the Indiana Jones movie this weekend too?

We saw it with our friends Saturday and enjoyed it quite a lot. I thought it was amusing, certainly didn’t think it any sillier or cheesier than the others. (I mean, come on, the Ark of the Covenant melts Nazis?)

Sure!

This weekend is when you’re going to the concert too, no? Did you need a pet sitter for any portion of the weekend?

Did you name the tiger cat Yoda? For the bold, adventurous mouser; how about Ranger?

Yes, actually, We’ll need help on Sunday night, and I was going to ask you about that. We’ll need Barkley to be kept safe and honest since his crate is occupied. It would be great if you’d want to come over and hang out, or we can figure out some other plan. If Barkley needs to be left alone, he can be put in the back of the Ranger.
