Amy and Lori, I Love your #581, and Meg, your #565 is One of the Most Beautiful I've Ever Seen.

Lori, Thank you for Letting me Know the Name of the Flower that my Grandma had Growing at her House. I Saw Some Mixed in with the Flowers at Walmart Recently, but was So Rushed I didn't Buy Any. I Wish I Knew if the Squirrels would Eat them or not, Lol. I May Buy Some Anyway; if the Squirrels don't Eat them, they will be So Lovely!

It's So Good to have you Back, (((((jaycee)))))!

My son and I looked in and they had 5 eggs.

Wow, five little bluebird babies! Those parents are going to be kept very busy! LOL

My Sweet Baby Jay is still hanging out in the lilac bush. He spends most days either there or in one of the Oleanders. He can fly short distances, I saw him at the top of the pear tree the other day, but his parents don't let him get far away. I also saw him up on top of the neighbor's roof and one of the parents spotted him and chased him back into the lilac. They want him to stay under cover. They are still bringing him his food, even though he is almost as big as they are. Scrub Jays stay dependent upon their parents longer than many birds, I think.

I feel a bit bad for SBJ. He has no siblings to follow around. They learn from each other as much as from their parents, so he may be lagging behind other jays of his age.

Thank you for that beautiful poem, LJ. I just got word that a very special friend has passed away, and he lived his life just like those words.

Aug. 17. I believe it's a Sunday. It is for one day only. Also they usually have Indian style salmon cooked on redwood sticks around an alder wood fire. And there will be exhibition ceremonial dances in traditional dress and many booths of arts and crafts. It's a long drive for you guys. the closest airport would be Eureka/ Arcata and it is at McKinleyville just north of Arcata. Then a drive of one hour north from there. Cross the Klamath River bridge with the bears on the four corners and you are at Klamath. You will see things on your right from the highway as you approach. It is right on 101.

I Will Always Love You

You know I will always love you
Far beyond eternity
Much longer then forever
For you meant so much to me
Longer then a million lifetimes
As long as time has its place
I will always have you in my heart
Soul to soul and face to face
You will be there in my waking hours
I will spend time in your dreams
Two heartfelt souls together
Embracing love as warm as it seems
You know I will love you forever
I can feel you in my veins
In every single breath I take
I can even sense your pain
But there is nothing here quite like it
And nothing that can compare
With the fire and the passion
And the depth of love we share
There’s a friendship that holds us together
Even when we are a part
Through many smiles and laughter
And caring words from the heart
Through the aches of separation
Reminding us just how we feel
Often speaking the words “ I love you”
Is most caringly revealed
You know I will always love you
You are the answer to my prayers
My sweet and guiding angel
For in life no one can compare
With the love that you have given me
And your words so soft and true
To tell you over and over again
I will always be in love with you

Hi Amy, what a lovely garden you have. I miss you all too when I’m away.

I just checked in for a moment, still trying to get dad’s houses insured. They are in disrepair, so we are having to go the substandard housing route. One of them is vacant and he’s using it for storage. My house, which I rent from dad, was hit by a tree on, I think it was, the morning of May 2, at 2 in the morning. That was not a restful night. It could have been much worse but the bulk of the weight of the tree landed on a pop-up camper. Otherwise it would have dropped another 4 feet to the ground and a limb or branch from the tree would have ripped a chimney attachment from the house and would have done a lot more damage to the roof. My husband and his friends and a neighbor cut up the tree the same day (there were 4 or 5 of them together) and loaded the brush on a trailer, then loaded the logs Sat. Two of my brothers repaired the house, which took all of Sat and most of Sunday.

I think it was a low grade tornado, I found that debris was going in several directions after talking to my hubby and a neighbor. A neighbor a few blocks over lost his roof, and a business a short distance away lost it’s roof. Several miles away some businesses were destroyed, and that was determined to be a tornado. The damage was very interesting. A tree a few blocks away was broken at the trunk just below where it branches out, and the broken off branched portion set down upright against the tree next to it.

Like our dad’s hospital stay in Sept. ‘07 gave my brother and I motivation to start working on dad’s affairs at a mad pace, I hope this storm damage will motivate our dad to repair and insure his houses. In the end he needs to either rent or sell the vacant house. So far he seems to be grateful for the help.

They just gave us some work, so probably won’t be here much the rest of the week. Enjoy the day!

Ames, I hope you're having a good day, too.

My cable connection's been intermittent today; could be the high winds. Still, it's easy to make the most of a sunny day.

BTW .... how is Doggie doing?

She is Doing Well, Sweet Amy, and is Asleep by my Dining Room Window as I Type. I Think the Only Complaint she would have is that she always has a Few Flies Pestering her, Probably because she Goes Swimming in the King's Pond and Gets Dirty because of all the Yucky Stuff in the Water. She won't Let me Bathe her, and Starts Backing Away in Horror when I Turn on the Hose, Lol. I'm still Hoping to Get some New Pics of her; so Far, I've Taken Some of her Sleeping, but I Need One of her Looking into the Camera.

I don't remember if I posted this or not. This is the most recent photo of Sweet Baby Jay taken last Thursday, I think. He is sitting in the lilac bush waiting for mom to bring lunch. He is almost as big as his parents, but very juvenile in his behavior and still not yet able to forage for food.
