Good evening, everyone.
Well .... I had a busy day;
I think I found receipts for all of the deductions that I can claim.
I wish I was better organized.
Every year there are a couple of receipts that I failed to keep.
Tomorrow I need to go to the PO, bank and to order new glasses.
If I'm lucky, it will only take a couple of hours. ... Yeah ... right.
With drive time (total) of an hour, I'm sure it will be more.
Hey ... I can wish.

Hey ... I think it is bedtime.
Hope to see everyone tomorrow.

The Challenge Of Forgiveness
If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14
In the heat of an argument, my wife came up with an acute theological insight. We were discussing my shortcomings in a rather spirited way when she said, "I think it's pretty amazing that I forgive you for some of the dastardly things you've done!"
What struck me about her comment was its sharp perception into the nature of forgiveness. It is not a sweet platonic ideal to be dispersed in the world like air-freshener sprayed from a can. Forgiveness is achingly difficult, and long after you've forgiven, the wound lives on in memory. Forgiveness is an unnatural act, and my wife was protesting its blatant unfairness.
A story from Genesis captures much the same sentiment. The brothers that Joseph struggled to forgive were the very ones who had bullied him, had cooked up schemes to murder him, had sold him into slavery. Though he went on to triumph over adversity and though with all his heart he now wanted to forgive these brothers, he could not bring himself to that pointnot yet.
I view Genesis 4245 as Joseph's way of saying, "I think it's pretty amazing that I forgive you for the dastardly things you've done!" When grace finally broke through, the sound of Joseph's grief and love echoed through the palace. What was that wail? It was the sound of a man forgiving.

April Rain
"The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shawl and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again."

Cinnamon Crescent Rolls
Ingredients:
1 package of canned crescent rolls
Melted butter
Brown sugar to taste
Ground cinnamon to taste
Chopped pecans to taste
Preparation:
Unroll the triangles from a package of canned crescent rolls. Brush the inside of each triangle lightly with some melted butter. Add some brown sugar to each triangle. Sprinkle with enough cinnamon to lightly cover the sugar. Place chopped pecans on each as generous or sparse as you like. Start at the wide end of the triangle and roll up and curve inwards. Top each with a nice, single pecan half.
Brush lightly with more butter and bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Top with any white icing glaze of your choice.
Happy National Cinnamon Crescent Day!
Enjoy!

I made the same thing, this morning - only I put some apple pie filling in each one! They are to die for! Here's the instructions (click the link at the bottom for pictures).
Ingredients:
* 2 cans (16) refrigerated crescent rolls
* 1 can apple pie filling
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon
* 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
Mini apple pie recipe
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Open a can of crescent rolls and separate the dough into 8 pieces. Each can contains 8 crescent rolls. Unroll each piece into a flat triangle on a cookie sheet.
Crescent roll triangle recipe step #2
3. Empty the apple pie filling into a bowl and cut the slices of apple into smaller pieces. It will take two apple slices per crescent roll.
Mini apple pie step #3 recipe
4. Spoon the pieces of apple filling onto the wide end of the triangle and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Mini apple pie step #4 recipe
5. Roll the dough starting at the bottom all of the way to the point at the top.
Mini apple pie #5 step recipe
6. Bring the sides of the crescent up on each end to hold the filling in. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 12 minutes until a light golden brown. Recipe makes 16 pies. Enjoy!
Mini apple pies #6 step recipe
For a variation try cherry or blueberry pie filling. You may also drizzle a glaze on the top of each. To make icing glaze you will just need three ingredients: powdered sugar, water and vanilla. Mix a small amount of each until you get the consistency you desire. Then spoon onto the top of the mini pie.
