More scoop from MJ's:
Jason was asked to sing "Hallelujah" as a solo.
The Davids will sing Nickelback's "Hero."
Nigel says they had to learn eight songs for tonight and implies that the "biggest star in the world" might not be a singer...
On-Air with Ryan Seacrest
David Cook & David Archuleta

Oh, no! Biggest star not a singer?? Must be Obama.....spit!

Kelly Finglass, Director of the DCC. I like her too and the choreographer (her name escapes me). She has a tough job cutting the girls, not sure I could cut some of them-others not so much!

I’ve been saying all along that I think the big star will be Obama. I sure hope not but I could understand it since most of those involved in the show are libs. I wish Rupert would veto it but he wouldn’t.

Fear not, Peggy...it would be totally inappropriate. The forums did not dig Syesha’s little “Miss America act” at all.

Who is MJ? And why is Jason singing? We voted him off for a reason! Why have him sing now?

All the Top 10 Idols will be there performing...they do group numbers, skits, etc. The Top 5 are singing duets with the mentors...DC with Mariah, DA with Neil, Brooke and Syesha (with???). Only, Jason's doing a solo with “Hallelujah.” MJ has a blog dedicated to Idol and is where I get my scoop.

I thought David A. won the night, too. And it looked like he wanted it more than David C. He certainly needs the win more than Cook. David C.’s performances seemed curiously underpowered last night. He didn’t do as much with the U2 song(which I thought would be perfect for him) as I expected. I didn’t know his final song, but I expected a tour-de-force, a real show-stopper, from Cook on his last time up. David C. comes off a pretty bright guy—wonder if he thinks an AI win would be a hinderance for a rocker. In spite of that, DialIdol has David C. with a big lead. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t win.

I can't believe no one has figured out who "the biggest star in the world" is... it's got to be Renaldo Lapuz!
You just KNOW he's going to be singing "You Are My Brother" tonight!
To: Lucky9teen
Since it’s a waste of time, I guess we won’t be seeing you on the boards tonight during the 2 hour finale since you probably won’t be watching.

Cook looks like a scruffy ner do well who climed out of a dumpster after a hard night.
He sang with no drive, no projection.
I think he was intimidated.

My “thoughts” are all in fun guys...jeesh.
And I say waste of time for tonights 2 hour finale, because of all the “filler” I’m sure they’ll produce. I mean honestly, 2 hours to announce the winner? This show is one big begathon popularity contest, it’s not really about talent (not anymore, anyway).
And because I’m on west coast time, I can’t join you guys on the thread during the show anyways....

My prediction for biggest star is Harrison Ford. I think has a movie out this week ...
(and he's the number one box office attraction in history)
