I am in what will be my only voting of the entire season. I'm old, so I guess he gets the old and the young vote. His voice is so clear and perfectly on pitch. David Cook's sounds mushy to me.
Tons of busy signals now. The voting in CA and the west coast must have just begun.

david a. has a very melodic voice. he also has the whole cherub thing going on.
david cook has that “oh crap, i pretty sure i just swallowed a pack of razors” kind of sound to it, which is pretty popular now a days.
i’m anti-melodic-cherub / pro pack-of-razors-in-the-throat. ergo, david cook has my vote.
they probably couldn't get david a. to stop crying long enough to record a thank you message. : P

What I fear that is happening right now is the same evil necromancer that brought Algore and Jemmy Carter back to life has found found a evil incantation to bring life to millions of Monchichi Dolls and they are gathtered in underground warehouses all across America and are dialing like crazy while the High Priest Monchichi dolls continuously sacrifice Barbie Dolls on a altar made from the bones of Englebert Humperdink and Judy Garland as David's Dad, Andrew Loyd Weber, and Sanjaya dance around it naked chanting the lyrics to "We are the World" in a consecrated circle of the AT&T symbol.

“Archie” won the night I must say, particularly because of his first song, and I haven’t been impressed with him for much of the live competition. I was hoping for more from Cook’s version of Collective Soul... I thought he could really grab the emotion of this song, and I felt it was somewhat flat. Perhaps he felt disappointed and powerless over the lovefest for “Archie” after the first two songs.
As others have said, regardless of the outcome, Cook should have the better career and impact.
This was the first season of AI I’ve actually watched from start to finish (I missed a few of the preliminary nights), so it’s interesting to hear how it’s a dying show. :-p

I got in about 5-6 calls right before the 4 hours ended.
Thankfully all the young kids should be in bed so their votes will be limited.
I hope David Cook wins so it will open more doors for the rockers to try out for Idol and get in the mix. I would love to see a good bluesman get in there also.

You mean Kitty? She is crazy but she knows raw talent when she sees it. Last season I was overcome when she reacted to the deaf girls interpretive dance. It was so touching to see a tough cookie melt like she did. Two things about this show I would change are: less time with Jay the trainer who makes up inane, embarrassing exercises for the girls to do—and I wish the producers would show us an entire dance routine start to finish. I just love watching the performances and the music.
