This guy’s voice gives me goose bumps. I think he’s fabulous.

I really like The Who version of this song, but this didn’t do it for me.
It was passionless.

Got better towards the end, but still a little slow. I liked the Who’s version better.

Darn...I wanted him to do the faster part of the song...he left me hanging! Loved it, though.

Why was that so short? Or was it just me?
To: Lijahsbubbe
He sounds like the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish.

He sang it pretty well. I think he was more nervous than I’ve seen him in weeks past!

2 minute song arrangements. A pity for sure.
To: retrokitten
“Welcome back David Cook”, indeed!

ME TOO! He didn’t grab me with his looks, but with his voice and singing ability. Man he’s good. Just unbelievable.
To: Lijahsbubbe
Why was that so short? Or was it just me? Just you. :)
To: Always Right
Paula’s wig is...um...wigtastic.

Bummer, he is going to miss the rest of the show. After hearing Dread's performance, Lynd asked that the execution be moved up.

David Cook
A more ambitious choice for his second song: The Who's "Baba O'Rielly".
I'm guessing half the audience only knows this song as the theme to CSI: New York.
It's a different version than the original. Slowed down, but very good.
Randy: Something a little different going on with you tonight. Resident rocker dude. Just shake it out and be you. (He liked this one much better than the first song.)
Paula: I want more, I want more David Cook! I'm really humbled watching you.
Simon: Welcome back, David Cook.

LOL! Well it doesn’t seem that he got any lint in his throat!
To: Miss Didi
Did you see David A say, “I liked Jason’s song” when the judges were critiquing him?
To: Lijahsbubbe
The problem with the “1 and 1/2 minute song” format is that you don’t get to really get into the songs. Baba O’Reilly is a very long song and they really cut it up.
David did OK with it. I’ hoping he’ll be “safe.”

News alert on local Fox: David Cook’s homecoming plans depend on tonight’s American Idol.
