LOL. What would make a good Ford ad would be seeing the 4 finalists driving their Ford Hybrids into the Gulf of Mexico and then have them being saved by a bunch of Wild Caters that have just sunk a brand new Oil Platform with the tune of "Draggin' the Line" by Tommy James and the Shondells playing.
Or Donovan’s “Altanis”
sigh* Atlanis http://www.amazon.com/Donovans-Greatest-Hits-Donovan/dp/B00000ICNY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1209616230&sr=1-1
Thank YOU, sweetness. I love this thread....how long have we all been together? 10 years? LOL
drats....missed all the fun, tonight!! But, I had fun reading all the posts. Almost ALL of the posts. :-)
Dear AI thread friend,
I will certainly pray for you. If I can help in any other way....let me know.
Anyone who makes it to the top five, they have to be good and they are good. I got to say, I am glad my favorite, Jason Castro, is in the top four.
He has a special quality in his music, and I look forward to the opportunity to purchase his cd. He has a great chance to win this, and so a cd is possible.
Just watch, he can really deliver a magical moment, and he can do it again - in the last rounds, watch him do it.
Go Jason
By the way, I’m a Jason Castro fan, and I’m no teenager.
I’m old school. Not sure what the “theme” will be in regards to the song venue next round, but Jason would do good by a Donovan “Catch the Wind” (which by the way was the song used in that Ford commercial).
But he would take the show if he does:
PRIDE OF MAN - made famous by Quicksilver Messenger Service. It actually predates QMS - but he could do a VERY powerful delivery of this classic, it would HAVE an impact.
JASON if you read F.R. - Pride of Man. Check it out?
Well, I guess there’s no way. But fun to volunteer the idea.
"Lifelike hair"
Are you sure that isn't GI-Joe?
Ryan never said the words "bottom two" today. Wasn't Syesha pretty high up on Dial Idol this week?
She has found her niche, but it's not as a current pop star which is ok - she's adorable and will do well on Broadway.
Sure I will pray. If someone asks, then I can understand.
It’s like the way I look at it in regards to life. I don’t like Government telling me they know better than I do, and will take my money from me to “help someone else”. Half the time, most of the time, the “Big Brother” won’t do anything of the sort, mess it up, or put it in their own pocket.
But at the same, if God puts in front of me someone who needs something, money or prayers, or whatever, right in front of you, I figure God did this to ask me to help. Or to pray.
So I will.
Because I figure one day, I will be in front of God, and at that time I will probably be on my last moment, scared, and looking for a hand out. And God will help me in the same way. You have to stand in front of God.
That is how it works.
I pray for the one who needs help. God is very powerful. God can save nations. And certainly God can see just one person. So my response to the “Special Prayer Request” on this General/Chat - I don’t know the background of the request, I don’t know the person. But sure I will pray. You are standing in front of me right now, we are friends. We are both in this place, around us everything is moving.
That is the real change. Not the one politicians talk about.
The changes are all around all of us. Nothing is permanent.
We are all in this together. We all have a name.
Even God has a name.
It's because he owns the stage. It doesn't matter that he doesn't sing the song great, he bowls people over with his presence. He's kinda like Frank Sinatra in dreds. He doesn't try to oversing, he just sings. I think that is what people like.
Brooke was always one of my top two girls. :-(
I’ll miss Brooke.
BTW, did anybody catch Kristy Lee Cook in the crowd during Brooke’s swan song?
Yes, the camera panned in on Kristy a few times. She looked adorable - I wish she was still in the competition.
All geniuses make that mistake. I know. I've done it myself. ;)
LOL! Dang - I hate missing this thread!!
Wow. That is weird. (posting to myself here, since everyone has already packed up and gone home.....)
I guess the trend cooled when the reality of winters here hit. Hard to flash the threads under a down coat and an Elmer Fudd hat. :)
OMG, you're crackin' me up!
