I have to agree with Simon that the guys were much better than the girls this week, and that’s unusual, since they were singing Mariah songs.
My order for tonight is:
1. David Cook...a real pro.
2. Jason Castro...unique and pleasing.
3. Carly Smithson. This is the first time I actually liked her. She was soft and feminine, her voice steady and clear...no off notes. She will stay one more week.
4. Monchichi Boy. It was a a solid enough performance, but no surprises.
5. Kristy Lee. Strong delivery, good choice of song. Beautiful.
6. Syscreecha...This girl’s voice makes me reach for the earplugs. Just like Barbra Strident.
7. Brooke...she’s going home this week. That was the most Miss America pageanty thing I ever saw on AI.
