I have to admit, Mariah is giving them better advice than I expected. She's doesn't seem to be making this all about her.
Carly sings "Without You". She looks great--the best she's ever looked on the show, IMO. She sings alone in front of a piano.
Randy: I like that you challenge yourself with this big song. The first part was a little loosey-goosey for me.
Paula: I like that you showed some vocal restraint.
Simon: I really wanted to hear you sing this song. Could you pull it off? I don't think you did. Sorry, Carly. I think you are capable of it. I thought it was an okay version.
Performance aside, Carly looks really good tonight. Very feminine and attractive. Hope that helps her this week.
