You forgot that her show was created by and produced by Ryan “Fohawk” Seacrest.

Junk meet trunk.

We men are pro-junk, so it's all good.

Indeed. I have to go with Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson pimping the bulls*** globaloney crap. Somebody put Pat in a nursing home once and for all. Sheesh. I almost did a spittake on that one. I was, like, "Oh no he didn't! Oh no he didn't!!!"

I agree. He was the most conversational and natural.

Great makeup job, too. He looked about like he did 8 years ago in that vid. I was amazed.

Seacrest twists the knife. "Last year during Idol Gives Back we didn't cut anyone that week. (Michael looks at Seacrest, hopeful) This year ... we say goodnight to Michael Johns."

Yeah, it was a total dick move.

I said the same thing to the wife last week. There was a set of images of him on screen that caused it to click in my head that he looked exactly like an actor on my TV screen. He’s handsome, but not in a Ken Doll/supermodel way, which is what producers are looking for. They want someone who looks like they might be someone who lives next door, for believability in most roles.

Missed being with everyone, tonight! Drats!

I just watched the show....thank goodness for TIVO and fast forward....I did watch McCain, though. In the minority here, but I thought he was creepy. I always feel that way, though, so no biggie.

Sorry to see MJ gone. And Ryan is pathetic. Looks like this year we will have a Carly-Monchichi sing off. ugh....

In the minority again....but, I LOVE Jordin!

Yes, they are also bug killer, heavy lifters, and tire fillers. ;-)

We also get things that are up high and put them back away when you're done with them.

Woo hoo!! Michael Johns and his leaden, plodding vocal delivery and his “just say no to high notes” and his fat effeminate butt are all GONE!

(I realize this post says I’ve been paying waaaaaaayy too much attention to AI, but really, I’m just euphoric. I’ve been waiting for MJ to leave since Hollywood Week. Wheee!)

I agree. My two bottom singers based upon performance throughout: Brooke and Jason.

What is so interesting about FR is that while your lowest two Brook and Jason...they are my top two. lol. Maybe they show different shows to different folks. I love that we are all different though. It makes these threads fun.

It sucks Julianne can’t dance anymore this season. She’s so great.

She will dance with the pros occasionally just like Cheryl did when she was stuck with the pathetic guy she had last year who was a big joke. Cheryl still was dancing occasionally. Cheryl has a better partner this year...probably not win it but will last awhile.

I was impressed that they did that. Idol must have received a lot of positive feedback on that...

I didn’t watch Wed. or Thur. but from what some are posting sounds like they got people calling in saying hey put Jesus back in! :) Would be nice huh?

My theory is that he got cut because pre-teen and teen-age girls, who I believe are the largest demographic in the idol audience, and also most likely to vote, are going overwhemlingly for Monchichi..

I have a friend with record industry ties and she said they’d never let him win Idol b/c of his age...starting a career that late at that age nowadays just doesn’t ‘sell’ as well, especially for Idol.

I did think he had potential to be the dark horse into the top 5...it was the DC thing and going first that killed MJ this week I think. Besides, they saw him as their expendable “other favorite” (out of DC/DA/C/B with MJ next up) and a wake-up call but one who’s elimination saved Carly.

What does this say about Carly and Cook? They are closer to MJ's age than Monchichi's age... Honestly, I think the fix is in. Monchichi wins and it doesn't matter what anyone else does...

I was surprised Michael was cut this early, but not shocked. He was limited in what he can do, and he didn’t do a great job selecting songs. Starting off in the slot of death (going first) was probably what made the difference this week, as it should have been Syesha or Carly.
