I’m thinking Syesha or Carly to go tonight. I won’t miss either of them.
I’m surprised at David Cook being down so low w/ Dial Idol. He’s been spot on so far and had 1 bad week. Hopefully he’s safe because that would pretty much ruin this season for me if he goes home.
Kristy Lee can’t win and I can’t root for Monchichi.
And that Castro kid? I just don’t get him. He’s like the stoner outside a coffee shop begging for money. I though his “Tiptoe Through the Rainbow” last night was hideous. I can’t wait to see him leave.
Oh well...that’s my 2 cents. BTW.....Oh goody! Obama, Hitlery and Juan McCain will all have idiotic video messages tonight.
I agree with everything you wrote. It just goes to show how fickle the voting can be. You’re only as good as this weeks performance. There are two kinds of voting, those that look at all the weeks and those that vote based on the most recent week alone. The teeny boppers with shot attenetion spans do the bulk of the voting and it seems they may vote basead on the most recent performance.
I think Cook made a bad song choice. When will they learn to NOT pick songs because they like them, but choose songs that will showcase their abilities? He looked dejected last night after his performance and rightly so. I didn’t see any anger from him, just dejection, because he knew he blew it. jmo
The good news is that you can completely ignore tonight’s show (like I’m going to). The results show is actually tomorrow.
It's tough for him to give it his all as a sibling is fighting for his life I would think.
On one hand he has an opportunity of a lifetime, and on the other a brother who could be dying (based on snippets in the rags) and he is split in two and probably tired as hell over it all IMO. I know I would be.
Thats why I give him a pass on his 'supposed' ego. I haven't seen any real evidence that he is arrogant. Distracted, sure. Mentally preoccupied? You betcha. Flat out arrogant. Nope. I think his concern for his brother and his own health could make other perceive things that aren't so. jmo
But, he still chose a terrible song this week. Song recognition helps a LOT. That song wasn't it. I'd rather he did 'Wind Beneath My wings' than some song I'd never heard of before. jmo
So much we don't know, he gets a pass from me, but needs to step up his game for next time or he'll be out.
Depending which one(s) they put him on. Some make you sleepy, and or light headed.
You got THAT right! I usually turn all the tv's in the house on to AI, but NOT tonight! I'm not even sure if I will turn any of them onto Idol tonight.
Cook looked a but out of it like he left his soul off the stage and that can happen when you take a new drug your body hasn’t adjusted to.
In any case, I think he will not get cut, but he has to step up his game.
He's been brainwashed by a liberal activist who uses his son to further his activism... of course he's disturbed.
Never heard of them but you made me go looking. Thanks. Yes, I think this would ahve been a much better choice for David cook.

Are you perchance suggesting/implying that the judges play with the results each week?
Good point. BP meds, when first taken, until they adjust the dose to get it right, can have side effects. One example, sometimes the emds can lower the BP too much to the extent that you get syncope, litterally black out when you move suddenly after a period of time in a stationary position, like sitting in a chair or lying in bed..you get up too quickly, and you just pass out...or you can feel “lightheadedness”..a buzz..
It's right in their contract that when the results are extremely close that AI reserves the right to make the final choice on who goes. Someone posted the contract a couple of years ago. Now, since they never show us the exact numbers for each contestant, every week, AI certainly could play loose and fast with the numbers.
I think for the most part they let the chips fall where they may, BUT, when its close enough for them to dictate who stays and who goes, yeah, and they even admit to that. Doubt its the judges though, Lithgoe would be my guess.
That was a strange show last night.
Ranking them:
1. Kristy(Didn’t think she’d be able to convincingly perform that Martina song, but she pretty much did. Gets the top ranking partly because the others were so weak last night though)
2. Michael(Did okay. He’s not a great singer but he picked the right song for himself)
3. Jason(Worked because it was a decent arrangement[that few people had heard before] of a familiar song)
4. Brooke(Lackluster but still better than most last night)
5. David A.(Thought the first part of the song was weak but his voice was good after he opened up midway though the song)
6. Syesha(Decent singer but just boring yet again)
7. Carly(Poor song choice and her weakest performance so far. She’s much better than that.)
8. David C.(Worst of the night. Very poor song choice. Not sure what happened with him since he’s been so good the past few weeks. Overconfidence, perhaps.)
Who should go: Syesha
Who will go: Syesha(if not her then Carly)
I love the lyrics to that song....it makes me tear up. :(
