I think the story is Cook has a brother who recently got some bad news regarding cancer and that may be having an effect on everything right now. Supposedly he was sent to the hospital with high blood pressure after his last performance over it. It's tough for him to give it his all as a sibling is fighting for his life I would think. On one hand he has an opportunity of a lifetime, and on the other a brother who could be dying (based on snippets in the rags) and he is split in two and probably tired as hell over it all IMO. I know I would be. Thats why I give him a pass on his 'supposed' ego. I haven't seen any real evidence that he is arrogant. Distracted, sure. Mentally preoccupied? You betcha. Flat out arrogant. Nope. I think his concern for his brother and his own health could make other perceive things that aren't so. jmo
But, he still chose a terrible song this week. Song recognition helps a LOT. That song wasn't it. I'd rather he did 'Wind Beneath My wings' than some song I'd never heard of before. jmo

They also put Cook on some medications for high blood pressure this week and it might have hit him like a son of a B, we don't know, but I hear people going on meds like that can feel real bad.
So much we don't know, he gets a pass from me, but needs to step up his game for next time or he'll be out.

He could have done the
Sonata Arctica version. ;)
