Oh. That’s weird.
Yeah, he's NOT going to dispel any rumors, following in the footsteps of Michael Jackson. Next thing you know, he'll name the kid Sleeping Bag.

NEW YORK - David Cook’s “American Idol” win is already paying dividends on the music charts. The 25-year-old singer raked in 942,000 digital downloads in just a week, according to figures released Thursday by Nielsen SoundScan. The numbers are from the week ending Sunday.
Runner-up on the Fox show, David Archuleta, amassed 323,000 downloads in the same period. The next closest “Idol” contender was Jason Castro, with 64,000 downloads.
ROFLMBO!!! That's a really good one, Netizen. Thanks for brightening my day. :)
Remember when Simon once told Carrie Underwood that she would be the biggest selling AI winner? Well, I think David Cook is going to prove that prediction wrong.
Jackson pulled ‘Idol’ comeback show?

Michael Jackson pulled out of appearing on the final of American Idol at the last minute, say reports.
According to The Sun, Jackson had agreed to perform on the reality show and was trying to keep his comeback gig a secret.
However, shortly before the programme aired, the veteran popstar apparently told producers: “I cant do it. Everyone will hate me.”
A source said: “This was his big chance but he got stage fright.”
Yeah, though to his credit, as much as Cowell hates country, at least he acknowledged Carrie’s selling power.
Simon’s Picks for ‘Idol’ Flick

“Idol” has gotten too big for the small screen — now, it’s time for “American Idol: The Movie!”
“Extra” gave judge Simon Cowell a hypothetical offer he couldn’t refuse — to cast the silver screen version of the hit TV show — and judge Paula is not going to like who Mr. Mean picked to play her!
Cowell’s pick for judge Randy Jackson — the jokingly self-titled “black Brad Pitt” — was none other than Uncle Buck. “John Candy,” said Simon. As for happy host Ryan Seacrest, Cowell chose an actor who is known for bringing the laughs. “Dudley Moore,” said Simon.
When asked who would play Paula, the notoriously nasty judge responded, “Liz Taylor — now!” As for the role of the biting Brit himself, Cowell chose a more soft-spoken Hollywood icon. “Bela Lugosi,” said Simon, “He was a silent movie actor who played the first Dracula — very, very good-looking guy.”
My first thought for playing Cowell would be Hugh Laurie “Dr. House”. Can you imagine?? lol
Aftermath of an American Idol victory
Hicks said he wishes he could relive his Idol experience, but the show’s aftermath was a bit stressful. “Right after you win, they put you on tour and then you have to record a record. What they really want you to do is put the album out, during the time when people are buying records at Christmastime - it completely makes sense, but for a songwriter, and somebody who’s creative - it’s tough, and there’s some pressure.”
But now that he’s back on an independent label... there’s more pressure than ever. “I was very fortunate to get my first record deal with them, but I’m excited about what lies ahead in terms of particular deals and stuff like that. I’m pretty excited about a few things, which I can’t tell you about!”
Hicks will play “Teen Angel” in “Grease,” starting June 6. In addition to his new album slated for the fall, Hicks has a concert DVD coming out called “Whoomp at the Warfield.”

Every day I thank God for each blessing I receive. :)
I hope MJ continues to have stage fright the rest of his sorry life. In fact, I hope he goes back to Bahrain, or wherever it is that he ran to after his trial, and stays there for the rest of his life.
thanks for the info.....I still love Tay-Tay.....
I will never understand why Taylor has been dissed by Idol.
I sure never understood it....and now my other fav from AI is in the news - Clay is going to be a daddy....! And I understand he’s getting good reviews for Spamalot...
The market for Taylor is very segmented, infact Taylor is almost the anti-AI. I liked him very much, but you have to realize Taylor is not AI material, and really never was.
Yes, chef, I am having a freak out.
You wanna see crazy?
This is me being crazy!
LMAO!!!
Wanted you to know Cookie was in town this weekend and I read he was at a bar and grill close to my house. Damn, had I known.
You need to start hanging out in bars. ;-)
LOL, been there, done that. I never go into bars since I quit drinking. Besides, it depresses me because I want to be young again. :-(
