Well, howdy to you Meekie!! Where have you been??? Haven't seen you around here for ages.
Gosh, it's cold in Dallas! We don't get snow here in the CA central valley and I am always surprised to hear it is snowing so far south of us. I have to remind myself that weather is also influenced by altitude and not just latitude.
Texas is in the spotlight today, for sure. Rush has been encouraging conservatives in the cross-over states to vote for Hillary. I understand his reasoning and I agree with him, but I just don't know if I could do that. It will be interesting, at the end of the day, to see how it all pans out.
Hope all is well in your world and that you stop in to see us a little more often.

I became lost yesterday~LOL~ the weather was too good not to be out in it. You are like me! As much as I love all y'all.......the last place I want to be on a beautiful day is at my computer. LOL.
Thanks for the compliments on the flower. I found it on the internet and it looked perfect enough to accompany gardengirl's haiku. I took some photos of my Camellia, some Hyacinth and some Cyclamen a couple days ago. Those are about all the color that I have in the yard right now, but I have a yellow rose budded out already. I love springtime!
Isn't it funny how the calendar page turned to March and the winds came with it? It's been windy here also.

I love the Haiku and do plan on trying it... Great! I cannot write poetry, but I can count syllables. If I can write a haiku, anyone can. ;-)

I read that the Japanese Haiku are more strict on the syllables and seems to veer away from the exact count in English. That was good news for me, however, its better to do it like the Japanese.
I used to write some poetry and it was mostly to my family members on special occasions, etc. I wish I could put my fingers on them at the moment but can’t. Pack-rat that my husband turned me into (really he made me one) so I would be more like him....LOL~~He was the King of Pack-ratting! But, do you know he could find anything he wanted in just a few minutes? I can’t do that!

When I Write, I just Try to Get the Words to Rhyme, Lol! Well, you do a beautiful job, Kitty. You are very talented. I loved your poem about the old bridge. Please bring more of your poetry to Amy's Place!
Trying to rhyme words is the frustrating part of writing poetry for me. It's like playing chess. I get a series of lines (or moves) all set up in my mind and then realize it won't work. Then I have to back up and rethink the entire thing. Haiku works well for me. I don't have to back up so far. LOL. ;-)

This is gorgeous! Thank you! As is your beautiful butterfly!
Do you have a pretty day in store? Hope so. The wind has calmed down here and the sun is shining. Will probably get up to the low 70's. Perfect!

Good Morning To Amy's Place
So good to see you, Meek! Snow is an "event" in the Dallas
area..I remember staying up all night to watch a big snow there
once because I knew it would melt in the morning.
Here in Central Texas it is 51 and the sun is shining. It is a
much kinder day than yesterday.

Youth
To lay among the flowers,
To smell the fresh clean air.
To have no doubts or worries,
To live without a care.
We had that in our young days,
Before we grew up fast.
We need it more than ever,
But cant live in the past.
So I propose a simple task,
To make us all feel great.
Get out there on the back roads,
Pull off the interstate.
Find a field and park the car,
Take off your shoes and run.
Sit beside a little stream,
Watch the clouds, its fun.
We cant be kids but we can play,
And shed our cares and fears.
Thank the Lord for all you have,
Be glad for all the years.

That's lovely! I miss seeing snow falling. I don't want to live in it, but I love to watch it snowing, especially those big fat fluffy flakes floating down.
The Crocus with the falling snow is one of the prettiest things you've ever posted, MEG....and you have posted many, many exceptional images over the years. :-)

I pulled out every last bit of our Nandina because I just could not control the stuff, it was sprouting up everywhere. The not-so-Heavenly Bamboo wore out it's welcome here a long time ago. LOL. The neighbors across the street have it and it doesn't seem to be running rampant, maybe I just got a particularly vigorous bunch of the stuff.
Yes, the red berries were about the prettiest part of the plant, as I recall....that and the nice autummn color.
Don't over-do, MEG.

Good for you!! This one is rather well done. Some are better than others. With some of these stereo-grams, even if you can see the 3D image, you still have to guess at what it is you are seeing.
I will post another next week.

Wind’s blowing a gale here! What is it about March?! LOL
I got to work in the greenhouse all day yest! Woohoo!!
Just finished eating a fresh salad—romaine, buttercrunch, red sails, iceburg, baby spinach. All grown by yours truly!
Can’t sell the product is i haven’t tried it and made sure it tastes good! Added a little grilled chicken, tomato, cuke, cheese, bacon bits, and cheese. Topped it off with some ranch. Yummy!

Tavern Day and Hug a GI day? Let's all lift a pint to GI's everywhere!......after the sun gets over the yardarm, of course.
That little girl hugging her sailor-dad, just tugs at my heart.
