Bumping the thread, though.

Just trying to help out. It does look strange.

Do you have a lot of time on your hands today?? I’m trying to find that location and there is just white, white, white everywhere. I haven’t given up but neither have I figured out how to enter coordinates and have that location pop up.

...just browsing around in the South Pole tundra... Well, there's yer problem right there... :-)
I found it. It looks to me like an photographic artifact of the stitching process, as it occurs right at the seams of three or four different photos. Different pictures taken under different light conditions, and this part seems to be some kind of overlap at the seam between at least two of them.

no way, jose.
that rectangular area is usually a further enhanced, more pixelated area, and its ghosted so no one can see what it is. something’s going down, with our taxpaying dollars no doubt. probably something related to the AVP movie concept, the incan, egyptian, and cambodian pyramid.

I measured it using the google tool. 13 miles long. The runway is longer. We are talking mother ship, baby.

Check this out. Just north 83 miles, in a mountainous area (68 deg 56’ 31.14” S, 88 deg 00’ 21.68” E) is a “grill” type structure in the mountains.
Looks to be about 1.5 miles long and .5 mile wide. Looks like the indentations of the edge of a giant’s astronaut boot. something is going on.

That for real?
From 8500 feet?
To: BenLurkin
Heck if I know. Some other poster on this thread speculated that it was part of the process of blending the satellite imagery.
All I know is, it does indeed show up on Google Earth.
To: Constitution Day
my point is that it appears someone purposely erased the imagery out, and not very good I may add.
