Good morning Pip.

Hope the world on the East coast is treating you well.

Derls can't understand men because she hasn't tried to first understand there is a difference. Old true quote: "To understand wimmin, first you start thinking like a man, then take away reason and accountability, and there you go....."

Wasn't even personally around till the 50's.......

But since you persohally experienced that record low......and I'm guessing Vanderbilt is in the upper peninsula of Michigan where no one actually lives, on the other side of the lake, North of Lambeau Field...........you might want to think about that..........

but yesterday, in that hot, ugly, flat place you live in, you elected John freakin McCain. Now that's the second deep stain on the dopey blue haired Floriduh residents in the past 7 years.

Well....the third considering you always get whoooped by Michigan in football.

Facts remain stubborn things and evidently beyond your ability to comprehend. It was you who claimed (and I quote): if it ever actually became -45° here (and it's never been close).

Now you write, yesterday, in that hot, ugly, flat place you live in, you elected John freakin McCain.

The primary was Tuesday, not "yesterday." Did Wednesday decide not to visit your dying state?

Additionally, Florida did not "elect" McCain. He won a primary, most likely due to the extreme number of Michigan escapees who came here to escape the ice, rust, decaying houses and flying bullets.

Good grief, your condition continues to deteriorate. Vanderbilt, site of the RECORD COLD temperature (-51) for Michigan is not "in the upper peninsula of Michigan" nor is it "on the other side of the lake."

You do live* there, don't you?

or have you joined the millions who have left tundraland for more hospitable climes?

*if surviving the snowplows and bullets can be called "living."

Should read: He won a primary, most likely due to the extreme number of Michigan Georgia escapees.

Fixed.

Let's just say that knowing where Vanderbilt, Michigan is located doesn't play a big part of my life. Just looked it up.........never been near it, and it''s as far away from me as Felda is from Gainsville.

Knowing the location of VAnderbilt, MI is sort of like knowing where Felda, Floriduh is.........

But no matter where Felda is....it's always hot, flat and ugly there, not just in 1934 for one day.

And unlike our population up here, the dumb addled brained blue hairs voted for McCain on their way to the early bird specials..........truth hurts.......

Snowplow bullets?
Raving drive-by road crews?
Now there’s something to be afeared of.

Raving drive-by road crews?

I think heat produces far more rage from the road crews more than cold........I would be upset if it were hot flat and ugly all the time too...........

...in the middle of an historic and very scary event.

Good morning Pip.

I had been at two other historic events all within the same few weeks. The granting of Independence to Ceylon now Sri Lanka and another historic event four weeks earlier for my 18th birthday in Rangoon and the Independence of Burma, now called Myanmar.

I just put the jacket and tie on for the photograph, I was wearing white tropical shorts.

I must have given away half the British Empire and even stuff that was not ours to give, like the handing back of Italian Somali land to the Italians. But that was the United Nations, when they were at Lake Success, that passed that resolution and caused another civil war for us as we waited off Mogadishu for the vote.

Then of course we went to South Africa and where our good friend Jan Smuts lost the election to the pro Nazi Dr. Malan, so we seem to keep up our losing streak. Although in the meantime we did put on a good show for the 80th Birthday of the Sultan of Zanzibar. I hope we did not give his harem any ideas of independence.

I wonder how America survived me - or perhaps it was just the beginning of the end. :)

That is a 6 inch gun turret for a background.

Here it’s the other way around.
They lounge like lizards in the heat, and drive like psychopaths in the cold.

How old is Cardy?

I mean I was born in 1956.

He's talking about being around and seeing stuff that happened before I was born!
