If I bite my tongue much harder, it’s gonna bleed.
Guys in the office are talking about how kids really *need* daycare for socialization after the first six months or so, and stay-at-home mothers damage their kids.
Good grief. Six months?!
One of the nice things about working at an engineering place is most of the guys have stay at home wives adn don’t spout that nonsense.
Luke didn’t go to daycare until he was 2 or 3 (the years run together). And even then it was only part time when Mrs. was teaching.
Six-month-old infants don’t need “socialization.” They need to be loved, fed, and pooped. In that order. And Mommy and Daddy are the best ones to do that.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is just ignorant. Daycare is a necessary evil for some people, and I’ll defend it as such. But anyone who tells you it’s “for the benefit of the child” is a moron.
If they don't have adults who love them unconditionally nearby, from whom they can pattern behavior, language and self-control, they will NEVER mature. Drop that on the goobers in your office.
