Luke didn’t go to daycare until he was 2 or 3 (the years run together). And even then it was only part time when Mrs. was teaching.

Six-month-old infants don’t need “socialization.” They need to be loved, fed, and pooped. In that order. And Mommy and Daddy are the best ones to do that.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is just ignorant. Daycare is a necessary evil for some people, and I’ll defend it as such. But anyone who tells you it’s “for the benefit of the child” is a moron.

One of ‘em was claiming he felt bad when his kid was playing with another boy from a stay-at-home-mother sort of place, because the other kid just didn’t know how to interact with others.

They’re talking about four year olds.

Really bizarre. And it’s come up before, so this is apparently something that’s felt strongly about.

Like I said, I just keep my mouth shut. About that and many other topics.

The main discussion was about how one guy’s youngest has a sitter who comes to their house, but soon they really need to get him into daycare for the socialization. And that baby’s literally seven months.
