I’m guessing that’s the wife at the end looking mortified.

All I know is that I don’t want anybody on a plane screaming “I’m going to die today”. It’s especially true when they look like they could be Pakistani.

Garden variety acute paranoid schizophrenia. Give him 800 mg of Seroquel and he’ll be fine. Alternatively intramuscular long acting anti-psychotic meds once a month with a court order if he is too crazy to cooperate with oral meds.
Pakistani psychiatry is apparantly less than adequate, it would appear.

Crazy.
Wonder what he did to get cuffed and restrained in the first place? Towards the end, he breaks the plastic cuffs.

I just keep wondering what they would do if the passengers weren’t willing to hold him

Cold cock him with the emergency landing gear wrench, probably.

Yes, an amorous goat encounter and he would calm down.

Considering the potential outcome, bet it’s not to hard to get volunteers. On long hauls, I try to sleep so I don’t think I would be a volunteer. LOL
Just a guess, maybe one of the guys was an air marshall.

“Give him 800 mg of Seroquel and hell be fine.”
Actually, would this be a bad thing for trained onboard flight attendants to be able to use on hysterical passengers who were a danger to the airplane and crew?
Have one of those little injection guns like on Startrek and just zap the lunatic. Instant calm.

Surely you don't think that's a good way to treat panic.
