I do think HKS was fake-sleeping. He seemed to know all kinds of things that happened during the night, but “from his perspective” all he knew was waking up to screams.
IOW, he actually knew ALL the perspectives in the room - Daniel’s, Anna’s, the night nurse’s, the baby’s. So, in order to tell *his* perspective, he had to conjure it up *as if* he hadn’t seen anything else. But, he gave himself away, to my way of thinking.
Besides, what with the world’s most fanous celebrity, Anna, being constantly and unendingly besieged by paparazzi jumping out of the woodwork at all hours of the day and night, and so many people wanting to capture the DNA of “that baby” and perhaps kidnap “the little heiress” for a multi-million $$ ransom, how can a “paid companion” ever sleep?
Surely the paparazzi were hanging around the hospital. If not, why? It would be nice if a paparazzi photographed Howard leaving with a bag at 4:00 AM.
