When Anna Nicole tried to get the main domain name for herself - AnnaNicoleSmith.com, I believe - (I have the correct name in my notes and don’t feel like looking for it right now), the judge ruled against her and said the name is too common to trademark it for exclusivity.
So, I think HKS is out of luck in trying for the exact trademark, especially at this late date. I know when the producers of this movie announced it last March, they said they didn’t have to acquire any rights to any of her story because all the info they’re using is in the public domain.
They also said they started work on a movie of her life two years ago - long before she died. And the “AnnaNicoleMovie.com” would probably belong to them if they thought ahead - if not, someone else has it and will sell it to them.
I doubt they want to spend any money for it. I haven’t even seen an official title for it, other than “Anna Nicole”. This is the one starring Willa Ford as ANS.
As of Nov 21 - the last imdb update - production is finished and it is slated for 2008 release. Don’t know if post is still going on or if it’s completely wrapped up. Seems like they could’ve released it on her 40th BD if it’s done, but maybe they’re waiting for Feb 8, 2008.

i dunno, Sac...I’ve wondered if there were documents signed during the paper flurries the nannies described that may have benefited larry in some way big, so that the white lie - “there’s no (current) deal”, would be easy to remember, but i don’t think it was a donor agreement after the fact.
Anna herself mentioned agreements in her Pat O’Brien interview in what? late Jan? early Feb? ‘07 So what was the huge point of contention that caused larry to ‘go public’ on May 3rd, when Anna was allegedly still in hospital? The Supreme Court had given Anna the red light the day before, right? so wouldn’t LB still be totally expecting to get his ‘fee’ if they did have a million agreement? What made him wig out before Anna was even discharged?
Here’s a thought...what if? we turn this around? what if we’re barking up the wrong tree? LB speaks vehemently about not being a ‘sperm donor’...what if? LB wanted a million or two plus a ‘visitation agreement’ to keep him in the headlines, and anna wasn’t going to give him one, other than a standard ‘customary and usual’ fee???
Maybe Anna told larry, you’re no better than first baby-daddy Billy Smith, this kid is mine, buzz off, here’s your xxgrand fee plus all the money you’re making for selling pictures of me so why do you want more from me?
LB had to be pretty angry about something! imo to go to the press, when he had, as Howie put it, $10m damages clause...
it would be too interesting if any nurses recalled any of the ‘disagreements’ the two had, especially the ones where Larry said he was asked to leave...where the heated topic could have been ‘contracts’..

if anna was being ‘iced down’, and moe was on the phone with taz and had to ‘go tell those people’ (imow) to stop, then who was icing anna down? who is ‘those people’ (imow)?
i agree, any anna ‘confession’ or ‘howie is sweet as sugar pie’ tapes should be looked at from the perspective of, at least one clown tape and unknown others, unknown photographs of ‘kfc tarter sauce’ (not!), as well as a baby, being held over her head during that time to coerce behavior
just curious, but wouldn’t all of anna’s stuff, have been kinda frozen, until after probate closed, and aren’t there two probates, one in calif and one in bahamas?
if anna ‘sold’ or ‘gave away’ items, wouldn’t they be reflected on her irs returns? capital gains/losses?

BIRKHEAD: Well, there’s a couple of different reasons. You know, once, I think Anna Nicole thinks of people as property and she thinks just because she has a baby she has a deed.

The fact remains: that two young people died under very mysterious circumstances and Anna was the primary witness to Danny's death.
Except, she really wasn't a witness to his death at all. The only thing she witnessed ACCORDING TO HOWARD was discovering that he wasn't breathing and ACCORDING TO HOWARD'S FIRST MEDIA REPORT, Anna had a memory loss of the event.
Therefore, she's not a witness at all and any tape she made is invalid on it's face.
I wish they would test the vial of blood they took from Anna that morning.
Somewhere in the depths of my mind, I remember a very early tape where Anna said that Daniel was hot and running a fever.
We STILL don't know what the pills were that were in Howard's bed, HOW the methadone in Daniel's system was ingested and whether it was liquid or pills. Or do we??
