Taz said in an interview that they were all kept in the hotel room by the police and questioned one at a time. She indicated that the room was being treated as a crime scene. My thought about the phone call to the school is that maybe her cell phone died so she borrowed Howard’s and had to call information for the number since it was programmed into her cell. Seems like the simplest answer.

Wonder why HKS stopped making phone calls after that? Where did he go and what did he do?

I am not following too well this idea of lurkers following our posts for what? Maybe it’s the police using our ideas for their investigation.

Rte, glad you went for help finally. Obviously a real doc is going to tell you not to use the over the counter stuff for something as serious as whatever you have. I hope it is helpful right away. But if it’s not, go back to the doctor. Don’t take chances again, as someone said, the ER can’t turn you away for lack of funds.

Hi, All. Sorry I’m not up to posting much - I crashed and burned 9 hours ago, so just now waking up.

Spent the morning and afternoon finding a doc/clinic, then going to the closest open one (taxi fare one-way was $7.77 - took that as a *good sign!*), then waiting a long time in my wool-gloves-over-white-cotton-gloves-over-gauzewrap in very warm weather, then getting some bad news *before* I saw the doctor, then seeing the doctor, who gave me good news!

She kept holding and looking at my hands over and over, saying “this is NOT bacterial,” “this is NOT bacterial.” Then she pointed out all the ways it *wasn’t* bacterial, lol. (After all the stuff I’ve put on it, there probably isn’t a speck of *good bacteria* on the rash, either.)

She felt it was an allergy. I explained the progression of the rash, the pumpkin-scraping that may have left micro-abrasions that were later invaded by mites, so on and so forth, including all my treatments. She asked how long it is between outbreaks and I explained it never really goes away, but is sometimes dormant for 2-3 months, but the last time was 6 weeks and when it came back, it was the worst it has ever been.

She still felt it looked like an allergy. I explained that I’d had poison ivy rash before and have a metal allergy that breaks out the same way, but these were all “contact” dermatitis which eventually disappeared - and this thing on the tops of my hands couldn’t have come from any contact, as they aren’t in “contact” with any allergens on a regular basis.

OK. I told her about the “year of the bad pumpkin fungus” and she decided it was possible there was a fungus that caused this (after I brought that up and commented that I wasn’t sure a plant/vegetable fungus could be transferred to a human being), so she was writing a prescription for a steroid cream, then adding that there is one that is both steroid and fungicide, so that’s what I got.

She *said* this redness is mostly an irritation caused by all the “treatments” I did to it and I was probably allergic to one of those. I even pointed out to her that it’s really deep in two places, like to the bone - at least it feels that way. She just nodded.

As relieved as I was that it was NOT a flesh-eating bug, I was also feeling foolish that I had joined the ranks of the “worried well” by trying so hard to fix it. At any rate, it’s still there and still hurts and won’t be going away any time soon - but at least now, it has a better chance of doing so.

I’m not even supposed to wash my hands unless I absolutely have to (like in the shower, lol) and I just put the ointment on twice a day. Have only used it once now, so don’t know if it will work. Ack, she also gave me a sample of a cream to try on a small patch - just in case I’m allergic to this new prescription! (Gee, thanks for putting *that* notion in my head, doc!)

There was much worse news than this from the visit, as I said there would be, and I am still trying to absorb the info before I deal with it. I am depressed about it because of what it will cost me, but at least the doctor let me postpone *some* of it for later.

Thanks for all your prayers, everyone. It means the world to me. LOL, I even told the pharm at Walg’s that I had prayer warriors working on helping their store get an in-store clinic (just for me, lol!) - and whaddayaknow? They’re next on the list for one in the coming year. Yea!

I know you’re sick of hearing about this, so I’ll try to shut up and get back to the list, when I can. Bad hand is still bad, but now there’s hope that the pumpkin finger can be cured.

{{{Thanks and hugggsss to All of You}}}}

P.S. I went to the clinic expecting to pay $300-500 from what they told me on the phone, as far as bloodwork and antibiotic shots, etc.

I raided my little hurricane fund and took that with me, every penny I have. Luckily, it was only $50 for the visit, plus $47 for my prescriptions, most of which cost is not related to the rash.

Oh, and I treated myself to a walk over to Tuesday Morning and purchase of a new $14 pillow, badly needed for my sleeping, while waiting for my ‘scripts to be filled. So, all in all, with the two taxi trips at $7.77 each (the return trip came to the same amount, too!) and tips, it was under $150 total - and I probably made that much in the oil market today. Yea!

*Thou anointest my head with oil - and my hands with ointment! My cup runneth over! Praise the Lord!*

LOL, glad you’re back on. Bet you’re happy now that you did go to the doctor, and have started working on your recovery. Don’t even think about being allergic to the meds from the doctor! Lucky lady, it was a “break-even” day for you financially. We can all use some of those.

Past time to hit the sack, but I look forward to reading more about your day tomorrow morning. Uh, realistically, tomorrow afternoon.

Prayer works. :)

Mornin' Rte:

Glad you got to the doctor. It helps alleviate our personal thoughts,...the old "worst case" scenario. At least you might be able to relax a little more till this stuff clears up.

Wool.....Stop!! Use white cotton only. I cut finger holes into some tube socks for my granddaughter. She thinks it's cool!!...and grandma is "brilliant".

A new pillow?? You're just getting sooooo extravagant!! I limit myself to 3 pairs of socks each year!! :-)

Wishing you well!! /Sac

Oh, the wool gloves never touched my skin. They were purely cosmetic covers for the white cotton gloves covering the soft cotton gauze on the worst parts.

I was so relieved after the clinic visit that I went to Walg’s with “just” the white cotton ones on, lol. *nekkid* (But I did take the Mickey Mouse costume off, tho.)

Can’t believe I dodged another bullet yesterday! I had a Totino’s frozen pizza and had planned to fix it up (doctor it with extra good stuff) for dinner last night. The recall notice came on the news in the morning and when I woke up last night, I found that my numbers matched the “bad” pizzas. Whew! Tossed in the trash!

And guess what - I had eaten one of the bad ones two months ago and gotten very sick (Leon Trotsky’s) - had no idea what caused it! I am very lucky that nothing more happened to me, considering all my apparent immune system deficiencies! Wow, wow, wow.

I had even wondered out loud about kidney failure at the time. My, my. The rash came back shortly after that, come to think of it. But I was thinking “ebola” not “e. coli,” ha!

I guess I should add that the “bad news” yesterday was that, after 30+ years of having consistently low BP, I’m now hypertensive. So, now I’ll never get to eat anything again. Oh, and I’m fatter than I thought I was. Just so no one thought I was hiding something *real* embarrassing, lol.

But hey, my hand rash isn’t MRSA and oil prices are up!

(I know the latter isn’t good news for anyone else, but it *is* for me and just this once, for the record high, I’m going to cheer without guilt. I’ve suffered a heck of a lot getting to this point, for just another few dollars in my pocket.)

Oh, yeah, to answer a long-ago question I think you or Liz asked me - my temp was - and always, always, has been - 98.2°.

It’s funny because I am perennially the “hottest” person in any room or gathering of people. (Not in the Paris Hilton sense of “hot,” tho.) Been that way all my life, not just when “older.” So, how come I’m always “cooler” than average?

As soon as I saw the temp, I felt a huge burden off my shoulders. My home thermometer is, like everything else I own, in the storage unit that I can’t get to, having no car. Guess I should give Walg’s some more money for a new one “for the apt.” That used to mean “temporarily” - now it just means “I need one.”

I finally ran a temperature a few years back. I told the doctor that it was very rare for me. I was sick to my stomach and in a lot of pain.

Doc thought a moment and wrote me a prescription for the highest grade antibiotic at the time. Whatever I had...he was gonna knock it out and the meds did the trick.

Doctors do listen. This Doc was great!!

That is Bahamas. That is why Copperfield’s alleged victim did not want to file charges there.

Thinking about KE's statement during her first (IIRC) interview. "I wish I was there. I could have saved her."

IIRC, we knew nothing about the Chloral Hydrate which is what actually killed her...and the one drug that was NOT showing up at that time.

So, with that statement, did she push the burden onto Howard since he was there and she was not???...and I believe it was in Howard's name. Did her TWO phone calls to Howard...the one the night before and the one on the morning Anna died vindicate her....since Howard said she was just "weak".

Rte, I sent you a message this morning, and just came in and discovered it had not been sent! I think it's my server acting up.

I am so glad you saw a doctor, and I hope she's going to help you. I won't gripe about oil prices going up since you've been 'anointed'! Wouldn't it be something if the pizza you ate several weeks ago was responsible for this latest outbreak? Take care of your hands and yourself in general!

great links - Nice job plum!

I was going from memory of when they burst on the tv after a long wait for that press conference but my old brain had banked it about that time. Surprise, I had it right! That is rare without checking notes for me.

But, you must have not had your coffee yet for one. lol
You say treated as crime scene but the transcripts show it was NOT being treated as a crime scene. This is an important one I think many over looked. At the time I kept watching and waiting.. but .. saw nothing to indicate this changed. INCLUDING, Stern! Important to note.. Chief DID NOT KNOW where Stern was!!!! This verifies they indeed did not treat this even seriously from the start to me. It was those two things that stuck in my mind and I have no idea how 5 pm stayed with them but it did. My mental picture (from shock of the matters) of a chief, a death, bagging evidence ... but forked tongue says not a crime scene AND no idea where Stern is!! Unbelievable to me.

QUESTION: Is this being treated as a crime?

TIGER: Not yet. We’re just taking all the precautions right there.

No, no one ever said ‘picked up the kids’. Not sure how you got that but maybe from the dialog on the phone call list? In Rita’s book, page 215 she lists that hks called
information, then the school then after school program.

Some believed that to be for Taz, or someone used his phone for Taz in regards to her kids etc.

I was pointing out why I don’t explain it away that easily.. per points stated in my post. We also know by Rita’s book, IF that list is accurate.. HKS was not on the floor devastated, inconsolable like the group of liars .. taz, moe, hks present.
Burning the air waves with a phone stuck to his ear non stop doesn’t match the picture they try to sell. Neither does Stern setting up rooms for ET. Did he do that from the floor too? lol

‘’’So - he did get a message through to his father!!!’’’’

sod,

now that plum verified the press conference was till 5 pm.. I don’t think Stern thought of his parents at all. I think Leon calling AFTER the press conference indicative that daddy Stern got word like the rest of us.. via the media.
