Man dies after neighbor assaults him with golf clubs

Steve Tocco, a 44-year-old Mount Clemens man, is now dead after his 22-year-old neighbor attacked him with a golf club.

The dispute occurred during the evening hours of Aug. 14 when the men got into a dispute over an undetermined matter related to the suspect’s dog, said Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel. Both lived in an apartment complex located on Comet Street in Mount Clemens.

According to Hackel, after the argument, the suspect, Alberto Barajas-Enriquez, left his apartment, removed a golf club from his truck, entered Tocco’s home without permission, and struck him several times.

Tocco placed a 911 call at 6:50 p.m. that day, explaining what had occurred.

“The victim called us and said that he had been struck by his neighbor and said that he had a head injury,” Hackel said.

Tocco was immediately taken to Mount Clemens Regional Hospital.

Barajas-Enriquez was immediately arrested and charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm and home invasion. Bond was set at $20,000, but there was also an immigration hold on Barajas-Enriquez, so he remained in jail.

However, on the afternoon of Aug. 17, the Sheriff’s Office received a call from the hospital revealing that Tocco had died due to blunt-force trauma to the head.

No morals or values or something. I won't generalize about the entire country they came from, but the ones who DID leave and broke into ours have COMPLETELY different "cultural values" - and little to no respect for girls or women.

I'm frankly surprised by how many people from different states have been bringing up this issue to me. They don't know me very well or my politics or how I feel about illegal aliens. I don't prompt them, yet there it is... Clearly on people's minds.

Question for President Bush:

"Sir, many Americans are being killed, on American soil, more so than our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, specifically by Illegal Aliens. Most of these illegal aliens crossed into our country through our southern border. Were we to immediately move to once and for all construct an obstruction and seal the country, as well as move aggressively on deportation, it would cause a financial hardship to many of your political contributors, however it would no doubt reduce greatly these deaths. Are the lives that would be saved, were you to actually take this action, worth more or less than the jobs that would be lost and the financial hardship which would come to Republican Party contributors who are employers of illegal aliens??"
