But the good news is that the only problem with Jr’s car was that the new brake line was loose. They tightened it up and he’s all good to go.
Well hey, that’s good! Glad it didn’t end up being too big.
And that Jr. didn’t end up in an accident on account of the bad brakes - scary!
That’s the other one I ordered, it came with high recommends and looked really good.
I got a shift for tonight. With my new agency, which means “daily pay” which means I’ll get paid tomorrow.
Then I work for them again on Friday night, then I’m done with agency till after I do my orientation at the hospital job.
Things are going good. Steve’s chipper because of passing those tests and possibly a job interview, which makes life around here quite a bit nicer.
PS: The position Steve tested for is a local position. No moving required. That would be a hugh bonus, since I’m now established in my work here.
It has lots of subtle things to think about... beyond passive voice and “ly” adverbs. It’s good!
And in other news, I got the official “all-clear” to break the newz about the NewJob to my current boss.
Heh heh...well, it woulda been a bummer to have to move to another state and go through all the hassle of getting a new license and such and then getting new jobs after all I did to get these!
All that peeing in cups and shots and tb tests and skills tests!
Ugh!
Oh! You think it’s gonna be fun??
Most excellent. I need to do a search-and-destroy on weak adjectives but I’m pretty good with the basics, I need useful stuff.
It went well. Kinda bittersweet because at the start of the fiscal year, our organization reorganized (’cuz that’s what they do best) so I got away from the she-witch supervisor and in with a nice gentlemanly supervisor. I respect this guy and life has been good working in his group. I hate to leave him in a lurch. I would have enjoyed leaving the she-witch in a lurch if for no other reason than to hear her screechin’ one last time... jest for kicks.
Oh my word.
Spray me with a hose, I’m gonna rant!!
My bank has instituted a new online system. I liked the old system, never had any trouble. But oh well.
So now the new system won’t load. I can’t access my account online.
I complained via email and got an email back saying they were experiencing technical difficulties due to the new system and “appreciate my patience”.
EXCUSE ME????
I would’ve appreciated their patience a couple of times in the past but that’s not generally how it works, is it? I mean, if I make a mistake and overdraw my account...I didn’t know I could just email them and say I appreciate their patience while I work the kinks out of my system!! Heck no! I get slammed with a monstrous charge with each overdraft!
Grrrrr!!!!
Yeah, Talon and I saw that in July when it came out. Actually we were at a wedding for one of his college buds and so the night before, the other college buds went out with us to see it. that was fun.
You tell it sister! Earlier this year they had some computer bug where my morgage payment transfer did not go through. And then they tried to stick me for charges. Heck no. Lots of phone talking and somehow they sorted it all out :P grr
I don't care who you are, that's tagline material right there.
Main Squeeze has interview on Monday!
Heh, excellent planning on Steve’s part! ;o) Is this place local?
*snort* Yeah, I've tangled with a couple in the past week.
Ouch.
