Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
There’s no people like show people. They smile when they are low.
If I’m around, I’d love to! It was really a nice time last year. My SF brother is trying to talk me into coming down (I think he partly wants to show off his son...heh...), so I *might* do that. I’m thinking probably not due to ticket prices, but I gotta research that this week. And figure on the critter factor and all.
Speaking of the nephew, he’s finally past the newborn stage where all babies look the same. My brother posted his picture on their blog today, and I find it rather disturbing. Ya know how folks sometimes play with morphs to show what it would look like if two people had kids? Usually that doesn’t really work in real life. Kids just look something like each parent, and something like other relatives, too. But I swear, this kid looks *exactly* like it might look if you took John’s baby picture and morphed it with a picture of his wife. He’s a cute kid, but I’m still a little weirded out. ;-)
Heh...apparently my subconscious doesn’t think I drink enough. Er somethin’.
Characters listen to howling in the darkness. Main Character to her father: “What’s that?” Reply: “That’s the Terrible Hound, and we’re in trouble”.
Authoress: The what? And who? And huh?
My characters are really seriously not behaving.
I should have 50k now. Just getting ready to type it up.
Arguing homicide cops are good for word count *and* exposition.
It seems your characters all have a mind of their own...
Rose, did you hear anything about this team when you were growing up? I think Don Haskins was the first coach to use black players as starters on a Div. 1 team.
We were surprised that it was so funny, as well as poignant and dramatic.
harumm... back to work today. I can’t think of anything I’m less excited about.
My characters always have had a mind of their own, whatever story I write. Sometimes more so than others. Writing, for me, is like having a clear start and stop and the in between I discover as I go.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
huh? whuh? Imup, Imup...
I did it.
I worked thirty six hours since last Thursday. One twelve hour day shift, two twelve hour night shifts. I just got in.
I’m going to bed.
You can afford to...
Izzit Friday yet?
All Friday means is that we have four shows on Saturday...
Why am I in this cube? What do I do here?
If you can swing it, I think the trip would be good for you :~) We’d keep Cisco for ya and check on the cats.
I’ll let Dona know that you aren’t sure where you’re going to be yet... don’t be surprised if she sends you an email. :~)
Good morning everyone :~)
Heh. At least I didn’t have to go through the embarrassment of calling tech support for a forgotten password.
What is your current email addy? I’m not sure the ones I have are still good. Can you FRMail it to me?
:)
