The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

What Your Pizza Reveals
Your appetite is pretty average. You don't go overboard - but you don't deprive yourself either.

You are a very picky pizza eater. Not any pizza will do. You fit in best in the Northeast part of the US.

Your taste in food tends to favor what's rich and comforting. You prefer food that will definitely satisfy you.

You are eclectic, stylish, and totally random with your choices.

You are deep and thoughtful. You should consider traveling to Paris.

The stereotype that best fits you is guy or girl next door. Hey, there's nothing wrong with being average.

What Your Pizza Reveals
People may tell you that you have a small appetite... but you aren't under eating. You just aren't a pig.

You aren't particularly picky about pizza. It's so good... how could you be? You fit in best in the Western part of the US.

You like food that's traditional and well crafted. You aren't impressed with "gourmet" foods.

You are dependable, loyal, and conservative with your choices.

You have many conflicting and complementary layers to your personality. You should consider traveling to Australia.

The stereotype that best fits you is guy or girl next door. Hey, there's nothing wrong with being average.

Heh, Midwest and rednecks? who'da thunk it?

What Your Pizza Reveals
Your appetite is pretty average. You don't go overboard - but you don't deprive yourself either.

You consider pizza to be bread... very good bread. You fit in best in the Midwest part of the US.

You like food that's traditional and well crafted. You aren't impressed with "gourmet" foods.

You are dependable, loyal, and conservative with your choices.

You have many conflicting and complementary layers to your personality. You should consider traveling to Australia.

I’m making a little 5x7 design of a lighthouse. It was the best generic thing they had.... they had some awesome uber-hard art with dragons and things I could work up for.

Ugh, called in sick today. We’ve got con crud, the result of being around 2300 people in an enclosed space all weekend.

Regular cross stitch is fun. Counted cross stitch is the stuff that will make your eyes go crossed! I was doing a Wedding Sampler for a cousin, but found a different gift for her wedding in the meantime, so I finished the Wedding Sampler, had it framed and gave it to SirKit for our 10th wedding anniversary. That was the last counted cross stitch I did, and it was 22 years ago! Maybe I’ll pick it up again, when there are no kids at home to have to haul places.

I’m doing counted... it has a good pattern though, I thought the other kind with the printed pattern looked too easy :)

Sounds like fun!

But you do realize you're becoming more like your mother... ;-)

I want to do more crocheting this winter. Maybe I'll finally finish that yellow afghan I started in CO. I ran out of the proper yarn and may have to special order some. Ugh.
