The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...
Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I'm busy packing the office into boxes. Feather duster, windex, cleaning the white board... I'm having fun!
To: Lil'freeper
Good!
Glad everything’s going well for your move.

If its the main fan on the power supply... this one you can jam with something like a stiff wire (paperclip) stuffed through the mesh in the back, into the blades to jam it and make it stop. If the noise stops too... then thats it.
Er... Jamming a paperclip into a live powersupply? Um.... ok. I don't think I would recomend that to anyone not uber-savy with high voltage components.
To: TalonDJ
Heh... into the fan blades. Not so much the power supply. I could’ve said that better. :-)

So is this your last day in the old job? Do you start the new one tomorrow, or next Monday?
To: SuziQ
The NewJob starts Monday. I just have a lot of items on the outprocessing list that I have to start early. ;)
Last night I dreamed that someone was posting Ron Paul propaganda using my screen name. Strange. I was really ticked off.
Ungh...two Mondays in a week?

Does anyone know why they pay me to sit here and stare at this flat glowing thing? There must be a reason.
To: Corin Stormhands
Been there, done that. Powersupplies are fun :P
To: TalonDJ
Not sure why they’re payin’ you.
Mrs. and I have been emailing back and forth about the vacation schedule for the year.
I could use some time off...
To: Corin Stormhands
I am trying to figure out how to solve my ice dam problem. Lots of ideas. They all seem to require that ‘work’ stuff.
To: TalonDJ
It’s busy at work, but I’m still trying to think of organization plans for home.
Most require both work and cash. And time. Ugh.

To: RosieCotton
Ugh.
Our house is a mess, we’re halfway through projects, and the ice is massive.
Ugh.

I’ve decided to learn how to knit.
To: Lil'freeper
I’d like to know how...for sweaters.
And I’d like to quilt. And do other types of sewing.
But I think that all needs to wait until I at least have work space. And finish the painting project.
