This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Actually I was noticing that last year we actually got out April 4th. We're late!
But yeah, that's where we crossed... and we usually do cross the creek there because it's one of the only places we can cross in the water. If you look at the picture of you and ecurbh in the creek from saddle moot, the bridge would have been upstream left.
So we didn't really ~need~ that bridge, but the hikers and bikers would, unless they want to get their feet wet. Maybe that's why the trailhead was empty. :~)
Oh, OK. I did notice you were wearing long sleeves still. It was very humid and hot here today, even had some tornados on the ground to the south and east of us. This evening tho, it’s turned very chilly and windy.
I’m glad you had no trouble with the neighbor. People can be very irritating :)
I walked with my friend this morning, went to the grocery store to get some stuff for a cookout tomorrow at Jenny’s. Then came home and started working on the Laundry room. I got all the stuff moved out and all the cut in painting done, but ran out of steam about 5:00. Ate supper, and fell asleep. Now I’m wide awake, but not enough to finish the rolling painting:) It can wait till Mon.

Great pictures. Bay man looks as good as ever and Cyn looks her usual wonderful self.
My blinds generally have a half inch of dust on them. They are all either wood or metal so I haven’t had a problem with the sun so far, my white plastic ones just fell apart with the sun and dryness. But, I sure wished I’d thought of vertical.
Looks kinda bad up your way — stay safe.
Reading about the terrible storms in OK, AL, TX, MO, etc. I’m praying for all in the path of the storms and tornados.
How about you all check in that you’re okay when you get a chance?
Yes, indeed... We haven’t had the news on, so I didn’t even know there were storms going on tonight down there. Please everyone, batter down your hatches!
Oh - and I hope your momma kitty comes home.
We got our kittens too young... vet said they were only 4 weeks and not ready to eat real food... but they would drink milk replacer out of a bowl, we didn’t have to bottle feed. Hopefully yours will catch on quick.
Thanks. I’m wondering if they might have been a little premature. Oh well...their bellies are full and they are sleeping right now.
We’re ok here, missing all the big stuff. We are getting plenty of rain so the drought is definitely over.
You guys all OK this morning? It’s headed to AAM’s neck of the woods now...
Glad to hear you’re okay there - hope you have a Happy Mother’s Day.
A little worried about everyone - I’m reading about terrible destruction.
Thanks, you and all my buddies in the saddle club also have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Yeah - And I don’t know where all these towns are in relation to everyone either. Maybe we need a good SC map. :~\
I read your ads in the horse forum. I know you’ve talked about selling for some time, but the ads were written with love. I hope you find the homes you’re looking for, for all of them. Are you keeping the others then, even in retirement? :~)
I think the worst of the weather slid along south of us, through south Atlanta (Forest Park, College Park, Clayton County, and points south.) The alarmist local TV station (WSB) is reporting some damage this morning. They actually managed to find one house that was reduced to rubble, but they acknowledged it was abandoned and my money's on a "down house" (derelict and partway down) that the wind just finished off. They also report that one person was killed in central GA, but no further info.
Compared to the destruction west of here, we got off VERY lightly.
Well, glad to hear. Have they reported anything in Alabama?
We will keep Prez, Bob’s horse, and Indy - technically my son’s horse but I can ride him, and Farrah. She’s 17 now and I don’t trust anyone to buy her and not breed her again. I promised her Rocky was the last foal and she was retiring.
Glad to hear you’re okay - hope you have a great day.
Hopefully they also had just some localized not-too-heavy damage and no deaths or injuries.
