This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Oh I’m not worried about the mold in the least. A good cleaning and oiling will fix it right up. :-)
I’ll have about an hour or so to visit, I have to pick my kids up from school, but we could definitely do lunch! I don’t think they allow anyone who doesn’t have a ticket behind the gate area, though, so you’ll have to come out.
.
Thanks potlatch
30 frames at a 10 delay I believe
This rain is doing wonders for the new grass we planted where the old highlines were!
It has not, however, been good for my petunias. I pulled every the wet limp flower off them. It looks like a murder scene out there.... with a beagle in the middle of it.
OK - as this gets closer, we’ll talk again, see if it will work out!
That’s a nice video there devlove! So is this a horse that you know, or just a nice clip that you wanted to share with us?
It’s a nice gif, too bad they didn’t have all of the frames lightened up. 30 frames are a lot to fool with!
Wuzzit th' Naybers? The same ones that set 'em off on the 4th?
It was OneOfEm. Not sure which one, in the dark.
Sounds good.
That kitty up the tree looks like RoboKitteh.
TheNewGrass looks great! All ours is brown.
When I saw all that stuff in the background I figured Barklay had been shreading something so I’m glad to hear that he was innocent.
.
I might be able to try about a 110-120 brightness setting at I-M
It’s 357K
There is good buckskin .gif that is only 243K but it’s set at only 6 loops - I need to fix that one
Reducing colors hardly drops the filesize
It’s only 192x144 - I bumped it up to 240x180 to post it
Well Beaker, I sure hope the job situation works out, but I REALLY hope you can make it out to Becky’s in October. That would be FUN! So I’ll be hoping that you can have the best of both worlds.
Cool! You could make that your avatar over on the Horse.com forum.
I thought about it, but I usually complain about animated avatars, they’re really distracting :~D
Its 357K
I know that is a huge file size to you but most of my animations are around that size.
On a Google search yesterday I came across a picture that was on a 2006 Free Republic thread of an Amominal Snowman or Yetti.
It started at the left side and each frame of it walking overlapped the previous one till it reached the right side of the page!! Never saw that before and I saved it.
Then I looked at it in my pictures files and saw that it was almost 3MEG!!! I deleted it, lol.
Yeah, you’re right. And I hate those big ol’ signature pictures that a whole buncha people over there use. It just eats up the download speed for nothing.
