I mentioned on the weekend thread that French President Nicolas Sarkozy was visiting the US in New Hampshire instead of European resorts. Apparently, he got into a brouhaha with reporters yesterday while boating. He jumped into the AP reporter's boat and let him have it verbally in French. I guess he takes vacationing with his family very seriously and when he says I want to be alone, he means it. ;-)
Good news in a travesty. Murtha is a traitor.
I don’t think his english skills were all that good either. Everytime I tried to get off the script and get an actual response from him, he really floundered. He didn’t understand me very clearly and had an accent which was hard to understand.
Well hello there! I am dying to know: Is the Celebrex working? And did the muscle relaxers work before you went to Celebrex? If so, then it sounds like it might be muscular/nerve...(and you do have SOME nerve! Hehehe)
I also get irked when people I don't know are overly familiar. When both my dentist and his dental assistants addressed me by my first name, yet they continued addressing HIM as 'Doctor', I started calling him 'Allen'....He got the message.
Perhaps I will send them an email detailing what happened.
I will not try to call and complain. How futile.
I finally got smart and called American Tourister. I need to wait until 5 today, but at least I talked to a very polite real person!
Good afternoon, Mr. Bit.
Much rain here this p.m.
Well, my husband and I are now proud to have our second DIL.
The wedding was lovely...simple & sweet with promise.
The pre-wedding dinner which I arranged, both on-site and long-distance the past months, was a success, thank goodness.
Some little details:
the cellist from the local symphony playing off and on during the ceremony...
my handsome son...
The darling bride...
their friend who sang a lovely Puccini aria to begin the reception...
the young flower girl who balked at "her moment", but then dropped petals at the couple's feet as they finished their vows...
the many photos my dear BIL took....
My son's best man, and friend for decades, wearing his uniform as an Army medic,Iraq veteran, looking proud and tall..
the laughter....
the flowers....
much relief and gratitude....
Thank you for starting Mon., lysie! Hope your week is going well. I’ll be catching up with the ATRW news....
We heard you, we heard you on Laura's show!!
We were traveling up to the airport...there was a crash and delay, & there we were...now I know it was YOU! Excellent!
But for the delay we would have missed it.
That sounds like a real sweet ceremony. Happy endings are wonderful. Do you have any pictures you can share with us?
I am so glad you heard me? I was wondering if my 10 seconds of fame went unnoticed by humanity. So I guess I wasn’t famous after all. I hope the humor of the theories made your traffic delay a little less irritating.
Welcome back!
I’m getting mixed feelings about weddings.
Pictures, yes, later.
My husband is producing CDs from the the collection my sister's husband took.
What color dress did you wear? I just learned that the traditional color for the mother-of-the-groom to wear is beige.
I’m listening to Rush and now, at the top of the hour, Fox News just announced a sixth body from the bridge collapse. We haven’t heard about the girl you asked us to pray about. Have there been any news?
I opted for very comfortable...a long, small print green and blue leaf pattern with a flattering neckline. The dress did not wrinkle one bit in the suitcase.
The man sitting next to my husband on the plane yesterday - 1 of the legs - was reading America Alone...my husband and I both had aisle seats...
Hi, Molly. Good to have you back. I was thinking about you and yours while you were gone. ((Molly))
Welcome back, Molly. We missed you. Thanks for sharing the details of the “simple & sweet with promise” wedding. That phrase says it all to me. Best wishes for the new couple in their life together.
Hi Jemian - I haven’t had TV on much today but when I did I thought I heard they recovered two more bodies. I am waiting to see if one of them is Christina. Her last name is Greek. I’m waiting to hear from my DIL. I will let you know. I pray one of them is her so the family knows and can go on from there.
