I mentioned on the weekend thread that French President Nicolas Sarkozy was visiting the US in New Hampshire instead of European resorts. Apparently, he got into a brouhaha with reporters yesterday while boating. He jumped into the AP reporter's boat and let him have it verbally in French. I guess he takes vacationing with his family very seriously and when he says I want to be alone, he means it. ;-)
Slept in. Coffee... coffee.
Think I am going to do the same for today, gotta go and get some ‘Arthur’ shots in the knees, one more set of shots next week and I will be finished with that. Knees are getting a little better, well, a lot better.
Will most likely go to Wall Mart while in town this morning, out of a few things and will also see what I can find TJ, my ‘bud’. D doing more talking about getting a second child for adoption which I am all for, so is SIL
I can’t tell you how proud I am of those kids.
Toby
Good morning! The youngest is heading out to the farm, LionsDaughter is going to band and I GET THE HOUSE TO MYSELF ALL MORNING LONG!!! Hmmm. What to do, what to do?
I kept you in my prayers at morning Mass yesterday. I slept in today, so I missed Mass. Tomorrow though... ; )
Morning Dolly!
Good morning, bet it is hot there as it is here.
When I walk outside in this heat and humidity, it takes me back to my basic training days at Lackland AFB, in San Antonio. We would have to post guard duty, and sometimes we'd be walking around at night in the heat. (I think it was more for keeping the fellahs in rather than keeping people out.)
All I'd hear during the night would be the nighthawks.
I can't remember when I had the house all to myself.
It is hot and humid.
We do have season tickets for Broadway shows coming up this season, and one of the musicals we will be headed to is White Christmas. I think of that show when it gets steamy.
"We'll follow the old man..."
Oh Yes. Lackland, spent my basic there in 54.
We always worked out in combat boots.
I don’t mind the heat. The humidity is oppresive. But, it is overcast right now. I’m hoping it will rain. We really need it.
I love that song. It brings tears to my eyes. White Christmas doesn’t do it for me, but that song does.
Good Morning!
CarolinaMom, now living in Texas?
Dallas Texas here, yup our first 100 days are about to begin and last for about 8 days from what I see on the weather report.
Good morning to all.......sunny skies here in Hoosierland...we will be in the 90’s again today.
Toby, hope you don’t try to mow...take it easy.
Indiana State Fair opened today with a hare and hound ballon race ......... I love seeing those large ballons take off in the morning sky.
Good Morning!
SO.... who won?

That's my favorite part of the musical.
Since my father was a combat pilot during WW2, and a hero to his children, we would sing that to him during Christmas time.
He would shake his head at us, but we know he secretly loved it!
Well, not to rub it in....but the thermometer says 55 outdoors here this morning. People are running around in jeans and sweatshirts, LOL!
We’ve heard about the heat, making us wonder if we just shouldn’t stay here longer. We’ll be traveling on this weekend though.
Good morning everybody, stay cool. We’ll try to stay warm.
:^P
Morning news...........
Barry Bonds hit another homer...sets a new record*.
New TV show on ABC..
(And i-Caught, from ABC, may answer just how low that network is willing to go this summer in hopes of reaching young viewers, or any viewers.)...A review in the newspaper Star-Telegram.
[i-Caught. This series is about videos posted on the Internet, and what happens to some of its everyday subjects afterward. Maybe Andy Warhol overestimated: These days, everyone could be famous for 15 seconds. Or, once they’re recycled on ABC, 30 or more. 9 p.m., ABC]
I watched this show last night until the show did a piece on Obama....quite slick...really...
I went to the Google site on items about Obama and saw the funniest thing....a picture of Obama had the sides of the picture cut off ...so his ears didn’t stick out....so funny.....
We live in weird times......
Good morning.
Headed back North tomorrow where it’s hotter than here on the Gulfcoast of FL.
Hard to imagine.
