I mentioned on the weekend thread that French President Nicolas Sarkozy was visiting the US in New Hampshire instead of European resorts. Apparently, he got into a brouhaha with reporters yesterday while boating. He jumped into the AP reporter's boat and let him have it verbally in French. I guess he takes vacationing with his family very seriously and when he says I want to be alone, he means it. ;-)

Gotcha! The people who bought the place next to ours, about 25 acres, has stated clearing it out, big ole trees being pushed down, one was a dead tree I could watch and see the chicken hawks fly up into it and eye the ‘girls’. I would get my shotgun and go ahawk hunting, tree gone and hopefully the hawks.
He is building his married kids, for visiting them, a 2400 sq foot barn with that size apt on top of it, he is a very successful lawyer, real nice, I have known him for years and I have yet to see the plans to his home but it is going to be a whopper.

hi all.
. big storms washed thru our area easing the drought situation a lot.
Prairie, I love the area you are now in. The durango/silverton area is tops.. love the old timey bars, the mesas, the water activities, the fun train. Never took the bus, just always a round trip ticket. sounds like you are having a great trip
Lots of needs here at FR and around the country/world.
Dog, of course you are tops on the list in your loss

I am recovering the dining room chairs. Four-and-a-half done, two-and-a-half to go. As I took the fabric off the first chair, I made the decision to use the hot glue gun instead of the staple gun. I’m so glad I bought the power screw driver last night. I love the new fabric, but I’m so used to the old stuff, that it looks really odd to me.

Wonder if it comes in seeds, the lady I got it from planted hers from cutting from her kids HouseYour Sweet Potato vine is called "Marguritte" in garden centers. In your climate it should set potatoes. In my climate, it only gets a few smallish nubbins.
I am not aware of seed available, but there probably is.
Before your first FROST, cut the end off one of your vines and bring it inside. Put it in a clear glass of water. It will develop roots within a week. Pot it up in a container that has drainage and you can winter it over.

Good Morning Cm. I hope you can stay inside today.
I’m having blood work done at 8:00 am, so I am without coffee. I will be an intollerable wench by 7:00. I will have to try really hard NOT to snarl at the ladies in the lab.

Good morning.

Good morning! Grass mowing could become a thing of the past if you got some goats. (They also earn their keep by giving milk.)
After I water my flowers, feed the animals, and take the doggies for a haircut, I plan to do nothing but read and drink iced tea for the rest of the day, waiting for the water melon to get cold. LOL
